Overall review from a hardcore player

Gameplay 10/10
Objectively not a single isometric action rpg has better gameplay than Diablo 4, no room for debate

Side Quests 10/10
Surprisingly good quality, some even look like main quest material, strongholds are exceptional too

Main Quests 6/10
All material is good up to 90% of its completion, the ending and the way in which the characters were destroyed did damage to all experience and expectations. Contradictory characters to their essence.

Graphics/Art 10/10
No room for debate

Balance 9/10
Although level scaling is sometimes punishing for bad builds, it’s extremely satisfying to overcome this and start trampling for doing a good build/itemization

PvP 7/10 (on going)
Sometimes I die in hitkill which is terrible for the game, but sometimes it seems super balanced when I face my friend who is lv 80 like me Barbarian bleed vs Shred druid

I agree with everything. Ending left a bad taste in my mouth. PvP is meme one shot vs one shot. I don’t think a game like this can be balanced. I’m PvE player so I don’t care anyways. The endgame isn’t really balanced though. There’s infinite stuns and only barb and bear druid can deal with it.

9/10 on balance? Really? How many builds or classes are even capable of running tier 90 dungeons? If every class had at least 2 builds that could clear and also in a similar time id agree.

The games “balanced” if you dont do any challenging content but even then not really

I agree, the game is really good. I would give a higher score for main story, I enjoyed it a lot even if the ending wasn’t great.

I think Blizz has made a fantastic game and I’m looking forward to all the new content over the years.

Yes and no, i’m testing yet, when I face my friend the duel is well balanced, we are “committed” pvp players, we got 2400 in WoW, I’m a master at LoL, I’m not at the peak but I can consider myself committed.

The duels between barbarian and werewolf druid are cool, but sometimes the hitkills against other classes happen… lack more material for tests

He’s a Lilith-lover. Don’t expect a high story score from him.

to be contrary to the outcome given to Lilith and Inarius is to be a “lover” of the respective character, therefore “invalidates” the opinion?

that’s a poor prospect.

I stopped reading after this. Enjoy op, and don’t forget to buy some cosmetics in the shop to support the game you love.

The stuns do need to be worked on. More classes need active escapes, if not more immunity. Catch one bad CC and its GG

I feel like you’re trolling. I know people are insane and coping hard af out there but lol cmon

Name it. I’m waiting.

this is my own experience, I felt weak when I couldn’t get a decent weapon, but when I got it and adjusted the build with more defenses it was extremely satisfying, currently I’m doing nightmare dungeon 50 and a pretty cool pvp too.

Name what? What are you mumbling about?

if you read you will understand

This is what I don’t understand people not getting lol.

Linearly getting small boosts just from leveling is boring. And it also quickly makes content irrelevant. Whereas with scaling if I’m running through fractured peaks to a dungeon and see a big pack of mobs, or have to dismount to clear a barricade, at least I’m getting exp and drops relevant to my level. Without scaling sure, I guess you’d get to feel “powerful” for one shotting level 10 mobs… But in general it’d be a waste of time and for me that gets old pretty fast.

I have money, so why wouldn’t I? lol

10 out of 10 side quests? Really?

Yeesh…

There’s some with really sad, dark, and weird stories. Those are the ones that stand out. Others are meh.

Good for you, and Blizzard. I think D4 has potential but it is currently garbage, so there’s no way I would spend any more money on this game. But to help clarify your statement, money is not the issue lol. As a comparison, millions of players spend $1000s every year on cosmetics to support Poe and GGG. The D4 cosmetics shop is child’s play.

“Currently garbage” compared to what? Something like Gollum selling at $70 as well? Once you hurdle over the fact that nothing is perfect maybe you can start having fun.

I mean… is that the metric of success? How much money a game pulls from cosmetic micro-transactions?
