Orbiting Ball Lightning Problem

After spending like 20million gold finally discover a build that is actually fun to play but ofc it doesnt work on specific scenarios…
if you try to orbit ball lightning indoor areas(Door entrances and pillars) they are just vanishing so you and mobs look each other for eternity.
if it is intentional then you guys should give sorcerer more than one viable build (ice shards) so the player can choose to play LB even though it has disadvantages.
i believe there is no Game/Class designer or a tester specifically assigned to Sorcerer class.

I played an Arc Lash sorc that had Ball Lightning orbiting during Unstable Currents. It was pretty fun in the overworld. I got inside a dungeon and it just hits a wall or a pillar or something and goes poof. Switched to Ice Shard just like everyone else after endless frustrations with the build and being unable to make it work properly. I’m honestly looking forward to Season 1 so I can start a different class. Sorc is broken and not in the good way.

Welcome to the real Uber boss -specifically for ball lightning- environment and doors! Better want to farm an outside dungeon cause farming any indoors thin small passage is going to increase your clear time by a lot as balls will just poof!!

Lol :joy: but yah it’s been brought up a lot before. Sadly no word on if it’s ever going to be fixed soon or not.

Enjoy your balls but fear the walls/door! Oh and suppressors.

I’m still running Arc Lash/Ball Lightning because it’s hella fun. Level 90 currently.

But yes, it sucks to be hard-countered by any wall, by most environmental set pieces, even some enemies and some chests will delete your balls. There’s no need for it.

Closed doors should be the only thing that stops the ball lightning orbit, because they’re the only thing that you could theoretically potentially abuse to kill through walls. And maybe even they shouldn’t stop it, since mobs can open doors in D4.

It is okay on free cast from ultimate.
The self cast that gets the door the wall the invisble object bounding box for what ever reason is there in the giant flat plain, takes your 50 mana and says no damage for you, feels great.

The glyph that makes it 20% larger and more awsomeness dosen’t fix it but makes it dissapear even faster is like the best I love that one!!

They don’t play the things they make for years and expect it to work…

Really good job to whomever design this skill :grinning:
