Oof. Looks like even in this phase, the game is not well optimized. I get stuttering/framedrops every 10-15 secs right off the bat and my specs are pretty good. Curious who else is in the same boat.
This is not a tech support thread, just curious what people’s sepcs are and how it’s running for them.
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i9 10900K @ 3.70GHz
RAM: 64.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1800MHz
GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
RES: 3440x1440 UW

I’ve got a virtually identical system, with less RAM, and things seem okay for me.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that the frames on some of the enemy animations don’t look to be running at the same frame rate as the rest of the game. For example, when skeletons react to my hits, the animation appears to be at like 30 fps, but I’ve got the game running at 144 fps, and other animations (my character’s animations and enemy attacks) look to be at higher frame rates. Maybe it’s just my perception, though.
I am also experiencing horrible performance. Constant hitching and unstable FPS.
Specs:
CPU: i7-13700K
RAM: 32GB
GPU: 3080TI
1440p

Try changing the reolution and into full window mode
why would I change the resolution? I am going to play at the resolution my monitor is natively.
Full screen, windowed, borderless windowed - no difference. Game runs terribly.

I’m also running 1440p albeit UW. I restarted the game to check if that helps but now I’m stuck in que now. I’m not sure if the lag I was experiencing was the game or the online-only bs. Due to the line I can’t check either way though.
AMD 3950x / 3080ti / 32gb ram, runned perfectly smooth for me. I do have a gsync monitor and I know from years back you are supposed to turn vsync off but I decided not to touch any settings and got lucky I guess in fullscreen.
What I want to know is even though I only got to play 20 min before getting booted to a 74 min queue is why the game uses all available RAM? 32 gigs and all GPU ram 12 gigs? Although the already outdated game engine they are using barely caused my 3080 ti to go over 600 mhz.
Yeah, Dayemon, it’s pretty annoying. What frustrates me is that I payed for early access but I can’t actually ACCESS the game. What are Blizzard’s refund policies? Is it like steam 2hs? If so, it feels like you would waste the 2h limit just waiting to get in game.
Just make sure to start your HC character on day one, before any major patching or official video drivers. lol
I don’t understand why people are so quick to defend Blizzard. It’s going to be the same as D3 launch and every other launch they’ve ever had. How many days has it been is WC3R launch? That’s still boned and abandoned.

You lack patience, it’s rather pathetic. Just refund the game.
Except I don’t and this debacle will persist long after the initial launch period. COUGH COUGH WARCRAFT 3 REFORGED COUGH
Also asking for patience in a LIMITED gameplay window is absurd. Every second you have lag, framerate issues, crashes, waiting in line, you’re missing our on your early access.

I cannot believe a beta isn’t optimized. /s

I have a very similar system, but I’m using a Core i7 9700k (weaker than yours) and everything is running great for me. Occasional FPS drops, but they’re rare. I’d say once every 10 minutes.
I get pretty consistent 90-144fps on RX 5700XT with max settings but I’m only playing at 1080p.
They literally say in the known issues " * Performance optimizations are still in progress. Players may encounter some performance issues, particularly on older hardware across different platforms." - what I found works for me on my rtx 3080, i9 9900k is to set the overall graphics to medium and turn DLSS to balanced.
turn textures to medium instead of high and it’ll fix the stutter on asset loads

my char loaded on the side of what looked like a cliff after two hour wait then a un skip-able cinematic , it looked decent though i gave up trying to play after that
Yea I finally got to level 5, hit that first interesting cutscene, then half of it froze got out of it moved around a bit tried to go to options but crashed when I was about to change them. It was smooth for the most part until then.
