I like BG3
Things I dont like are:
Clunky camera system. Hard to point and click to move and have to use the same mouse to pivot the camera. (possibly I can fix it in settings? havent tried yet but the default sucks)
No real loot.
Loot is designed so you can progress past the thing that are kicking your A55. Once you kill said pests that encounter should provide you with SOMETHING that can help you progress.
BAD progression.
These arent the BG3 forums, so, Ill stop here. Just saying.
If you are used to games like Diablo and PoE I could definitely see how a game like BG 3 feels less rewarding from a loot standpoint.
Im not even talking about flashy loot.
I just need things that will aid in my progression.
I get it. I think games like BG 3 are built to feel that way sometimes.
I just hate feel like I have hit a wall and canāt advance, regardless of the game/genre.
The WOW joke always was, go grind some Boars for XP.
I have thought of that in BG3 because I noticed I usually try and talk my way out of a fight. Am I losing too much XP doing that?

I dunno. Iām not a number crunching type. I do know that games like BG 3 are designed for immersion which tends to make games feel like they progress slower sometimes.
I feel the game is Active if there are lots of posts regardless if itās Hatred or not.
This is good. Compare it to the other games where Posts were never answered/visited for days/weeks.

BTW, whether you hate this game or not, I DONT CARE. All I care is that I am having a blast since day1 of Diablo 4. Oops, I was here before day1 with pre-order perks.
The opposite is the more prevalent problem. Make a post āI quit the gameā followed by explaining why, with a high degree of certainty the first post replied to it, āgood riddance loser, the games better without youā
Meanwhile you see someone post they enjoy the game, itās mostly just people who agree in those threads. Obviously this isnāt a 100% kind of thing, but if you go through and literally count the number of direct attack posts without bias, youāll find that your typical āI like the gameā posts get far less a percentage of their responses as being hostile attacks, compared to those guys who are critical of the game who are pretty much immediately personally attacked.

When I see a post of someone saying they like the game somebody goes in and has to rain on their parade, like itās a war crime to even remotely like this game. I bet you $50 if I made a post right now saying I like the game, what I like about it and that I am excited to see where it goes in the future it and I will be berated lol

I suspect itās just bias on your end to not see it, no offense.
People will disagree in both sorts of threads, but the personal attacks are more freely launched at people criticizing the game because the people launching those personal attacks feel like they are defending a bullied game from a bunch of jerks (which is a completely out of place response to have in that circumstance.) Meanwhile people who are posting they are happy about the game will mostly get the kind of dissenting posts that are simply people disagreeing or calling out the OP for not seeing the problems somehow etc, itās not personal attacks but disagreements that vary in intensity so to speak.
Obviously some people will personal attack folks for liking the game, and some people will respectfully disagree with folks who criticize the game as well, everything is on a spectrum afterall, but if youāre unbiased and actually looking over posts in an unbiased way and if you are being honest about what is and isnāt a personal attack or an unwarranted snarky remark, thereās no denying my original claim is true and has been true, itās not an equal playing field here or in pretty much any forum for that matter, thereās always a bias against people who are critics.
Itās the same phenomenon about how if you make a tier list, and take an average character and put them in S tier randomly, you might raise some eyebrows and cause some people to call out your judgement or meme you for it, but if you put an average character in F tier, youāll literally massively piss off the fans of that character and they WILL attack in force. Itās just one of those things, which leads to honest criticism being self censored for fear of community backlash, which is tragic honestly, it leads to a dishonest society overall.
It is very much not an equal playing field, you are correct. It is nothing but dissent with like 1 or 2 āI like this gameā posts sprinkled in and then people go into those posts and call them ābootlickersā or āblizzard shillā or any number of things for liking the game.
There is no (usually, sometimes thereās nice, well thought out feedback on why the game is bad) honest criticism in general, itās normally just people going āThis game is garbage, fk blizzard, I hope the dev team gets fired!, etc, etcā with no real meat and potatoes if you will. Just personal attacks against the devs and people who dare to like something that is popular to hate.
As for self - censorshipā¦? This game is constantly getting ripped a new one, absolutely being decimated and annihilated into nothingness constantly. I ask you again, are we on the same forums?
Iām just gonna call out your insane bias here again, because it truly is really blatant and what youāre saying is totally untrue.
I will agree one thing thatās true is that thereās more dissenting opinions lately than praise posts. That is indeed the more common type of post. Just because the praise posts are outnumbered doesnāt mean they are treated more unfairly by the average reader of them.

I literally scrolled down looking for the personal attacks on the OP for posting this, I couldnāt find one, maybe they exist, I saw some dude disagreeing with him in there, but not disrespectfully.
Look for any āI quit postā and you can reliably find people attacking them for it. If the community were more evenly split, youād see the gap between what does and doesnāt incur hostility even more clearly I might add as well. The fact that so many people agree that thereās problems in D4 right now makes it even less likely for those posts to get attacked than usual, and itās still lopsided against them overall.
Thatās fine.
