Blizzard should consider implementing dynamic tasks that randomly appear across various locations, including remote corners of the map. Aside from the consistently disappointing loot, it would be refreshing if players occasionally encountered Mythic itmes or rewards in the open world. I once had the chance to obtain a Mythic item from a Helltide stash, which was a rare and exciting moment. Right now, the open world feels empty ,just sitting there, waiting for a passionate and imaginative developer to bring it to life
They have this. Just look for an orange circle on your map.
that is just a fraction of what can be done
But it’s still present. I’m all for advocating an expansion of what exists, but your OP boils down to “I want more loot” without actually making any suggestions to expand things.
suggestions to who? blizz? lol
I’ve long advocated for truly Random encounters. Difficult ones. Rewarding ones. No real way of knowing when they might pop up, or where.
It can happen RARELY. I got a starless ring just from a helltide chest.
To do something, developers need to start working, and not lazily spit at the ceiling.
You mean those things that already exist?
My wish is that those tasks that do exist would have variety within them, as well as there being many more different ones. They are just a small example of what is so wrong with this game, honestly: monotonous repetition, and this is why D4 is just such a boring game. What you see at the start of the game is the same thing that you will experience at the end of the game. There is nothing new to see, nothing interesting to find, no depth to the mechanics, just mindless, autopilot grinding for grinding’s sake.
That’s what these games always become. No matter how many events, random or otherwise, you have. It will become repetitive. There is no way around it.
i thought this was the whole idea behind the big “opwn world”.
They absolutly waste the open world.
With the ability now to open dungeons, go to boss lairs and other things directly, the open world is not what it was intended.
Still waiting for the PVP people to show up when i enter those areas. Its always a ghost town.
I always felt World Bosses having a Spawn Location and a Timer ruined a good opportunity for “real” random encounters. I visualized World Bosses as being incredibly strong, both offensively and defensively, in a well balanced environment. So strong in fact that it would promote Group Play because you would need help, even with a solid build, to take one down. I saw them spawning randomly anywhere in the Overworld. And the rewards, would be well, rewarding.
Yes but OP wants them to give mythics.
They can, potentially. Right now, even!
I got one in S3 from a world event. Surprised the crap out of me. Shame it was Melted Heart.
Clearly that’s not good enough for OP, or we wouldn’t be here talking about it ![]()
Yup. I still stands by my thesis that 98% of all suggestion threads boil down to “gimme more loot”.
Sure, after long enough of course it will. However, they can take steps to help mitigate that to a degree, and make that last long enough. Diablo 1 and 2 both did this, with procedural generation of their levels, as well as with some quests for the first game. There are things that can be done, and DIV tried nothing. And it is especially egregious with it because of the entire idea of the game: being repeated constantly. Having nothing to look forward to or surprises to find after many playthroughs just makes the game feel redundant, let alone being so repetitive in the game during your first playthrough. That is garbage design.
doesnt have to be like that right??? the open world has so much unused potential in d4
