The reason is simple, this is the most expensive online game I have played since 2000. It is also the game with the worst patch. Every patch weakens players and reduces their happiness points. I have been playing from Diablo 1 until now, and I think Diablo 4 is the worst. So the patch after patch has exhausted my passion for Diablo. It is much worse than Diablo 2. So don’t torture me with junk patches anymore. Please open up a refund and demonstrate the responsibility of a responsible company!
the glory days, god i loved diablo 2… i still don’t understand how that game was possible. it’s almost too good
You’ve eaten your dinner, spent hundreds of hours in the restaurant eating the food and enjoying the atmosphere, and then see a review that says they’re changing their menu in a few days and you want your money back for the food you’ve already eaten? Nonsense.
You’ll get nothing and like it.
You’re able to get a refund if you played under 2 hours. You need to open a ticket.
The fourms are the wrong place to request a refund.
Glad i could help you.
If some people can only understand the literal meaning and cannot feel why the player is angry, they don’t need to reply to this post. Requesting a refund is just an expression of anger, and I know they won’t refund. This is a mistaken expression of the Blizzard Diablo IV team. There is no need to dwell on the words’ refund '.
I would absolutely want my money back. I did not sign up to beta test for Season 1. I was told I was receiving a finished product.
Finished products do not experience changes in the magnitude of 50-70% to fundamental core mechanics within 60 days of release. Could you imagine if they made every character in mario kart drive 70% slower 7 weeks after you bought the game? It would be a giant red flag that basically says “we don’t know what we are doing.”
If you can’t properly cook a cake, dividing random ingredients by 10 is not going to show us you are trying to improve; rather, it shows us you had NO IDEA what you were doing the ENTIRE time.
And here’s the most important part of this analogy----you specifically told me you were selling me a completely and properly built cake. THAT is the issue.
So yea I would absolutely want my money back. Thank god I got this game for free, because I would not pay $10 (or ~half of one cosmetic) for this.
I don’t regret buying D4 but I do regret getting the ultimate version.
If you played the game, you don’t deserve a refund, even if you didn’t enjoy it.
You bought a car but after a month they decided your car max speed is 30km/h after promising it would only increase. and now you want to be compensated… How dare you
Wrong analogy… you’d certainly have cause to ask for your money back if they sold you a lemon… but I would have to question anyone dumb enough to buy a car that the dealer can remotely change how you drive the car after you buy it.
The newest mbw, audi Mercedes etc already have these options. (lights, heated seats, camera, speed etc)
Im Just pointing out their isnt right or wrong is this case. They promised qol changes after the first beta and they will come around season 2/3 in the best case.
I’m not sure how people got past level 30. The zoomed camera, respeccing hassles, and wow questing threw me out fairly early. Luckily the forums are entertaining, but I would rather a refund.
A better analogy would have been to suggest that the car dealer promised a new OS for the car, but the update rendered the car undrivable… but that isn’t the case with the patch for this game…
Man start using your brain …you literally compare 2 things that damn
2023 …people need parents to even make a proper sentence …
Perhaps you are right, my english isnt my first langueqe so i find it difficult to explain it properly.
From what i read they were in the understanding getting a certain product but now it is altered so much for them that it doenst represent the product they bougth then, you can always make the case it is still the same product but from what i read that is what they are saying.
I pre-ordered a nice car. The dealership gave me a rental until my car arrives. It has now arrived and is full of cancer and sucks. I will get my money back.
I think it is the correct analogy. They should have corrected these things directly after the extensive alpha/beta testing. This heavy-handed nerfing across the board is sloppy product development.
Consumers have spent countless hours perfecting builds based on the parameters that were specified prior to this universal nerf hammer. It is disrespectful by the developers at the very least.
This is true… it should have happened BEFORE the game’s launch.
IF they spent countless hours (though we can surmise that they played 40 or 50 hours to get their build perfect), they have already received a lot of entertainment for their money. Even if we just take the standard version of the game ($70 US), and divide that by 50 hours, they’ve essentially paid $1.40 per hour of game play… name any other form of entertainment that is that cheap per hour…
It’s nonsense to ask for your money back when you’ve already exceeded what would be fair ROI.
I get it. Lot’s of folks are angry that the way they’ve been moving pixels around on the screen for months is now going to have to change… an adult would say, "Ok, that sucks, I wish it wasn’t so, but here we are… I’ll deal with it!’
Instead, we’ve got some so angry they completely forget the fun they had up to that point… like it didn’t happen and as such they shouldn’t have to pay for the game. NONSENSE.
