after using an opal, the first kill shows a pop up for 20 zakarum reputation, but for the remaining 30 minutes no reputation is given.
checked my reputation before i did a dungeon. 171 reputation.
used the opal, ran the entire dungeon, checked again 191 reputation.
and as far as im checking for additional drops of gold, equipement or crafting / mats / herbs. Im not noticing any difference while having the opal active or not.
this is the entire seasonal mechanic, and it does not work…
whats even the point of having a seasonal mechanic if you dont even notice its there.

Did some testing on T2:
Undercity (rank 4 attunement) +96 rep
Hordes (6 waves) +144 rep
NMD +72
Pit (tier 40) +96
Helltide (maiden) +0
Helltide (open 1 mysterious chest) +72
Tree of Whispers +0
In all of these activities, killing monsters provides no rep whatsoever. You get the rep from completing the activity.
If you go to a Hatred zone and kill any monsters you will get rep, even if they have nothing to do with the realmwalker and even if you don’t have an opal active.
So I guess low level speed pits is the way.

think I can add more detail here - it seems to work for the first instance it is supposed to.
ie:
if you pop an opal of equipment, one monster will drop you an item, and one monster will give you zakarum remnants points
if you pop an opal of tormented materials, one monster will drop summoning mats, eg, if you pop one and go do undercity runs, the first time you complete the dungeon the boss will drop summoning mats, but not in subsequent runs
Same. They aren’t working for me either. Yet another bug that they will ignore for who knows how long.
They aren’t working in hatred zones for me either. Tried both.
OK, glad it’s not just me; they seem to be doing nothing, at least so far as rep goes.
Nothing after the 1st 65pts for my wife or I either, either when we stumbled into a Realmwalker in world, or in the story that told us to go see the guy in Zarbinzet, can’t recall. Raheir the reinforcement companion keeps giving us his rapport/rep, though.
I am not sure how the mechanic is supposed to work either, but it definitely is not like the Mother’s Blessings, which we got from anywhere in the world once the quest opened it up.
Update: Looks like the Zakarum rep is only being given out for realmwalker and its portals… So, we got like 35 rep from one realmwalker and his 2 or 4 subsequent portals.
Does not seem like that is how it was intended?

considering it straight up tells you "gain rep from hatred zones, monster kills with opals etc definitely not
Yeah, not working for me either. Kinda get some when fighting Realmwalkers but that’s it.
