I do this because an hour or day later I find an upgrade and I am not doing a 12/12 shuffle for “perfect” when there is always a “better” item around the corner. The season is too short for that type of grind.
Exactly. 52% movement speed on my boots? Guess we’re running cross country. 82% Decrepify Radius and I’m already well over the 100% cap? Just more of it to love baby.
Yea I don’t care enough, nor do I have the time to be in the game longer than a couple of hours a day. More power to those who want to min-max their gear, but that grind wears me down.
In my youth, sure, I’d be right there with all the min-maxers. These days, I got more then enough things to keep me busy and worrying if I hit a bonus affix from master working that’ll make me just the slightest bit more powerful, is definitely low on the priority list.
You cant temper uniques but you absolutely can masterwork them. Thats why you simply go get another one instead of resetting… you don’t have to worry about failing the temper.
You reset legendaries because if you are masterworking them then you have made it past the tempering.
A GA unique you are going to reset because they are rare. Non-GA unique are common.
Oh the first four ranks being reset constantly because the same weighted affix keeps being targeted for the crit can definitely ruin you. In fact that’s the most costly part of masterworking because nobody in their right mind will reset 8/12 or 12/12 unless it’s two crits on an absolutely garbage affix.
I am not happy with the masterworking idea at the moment. Eighter the quantity you can get at difficulty level what are easy to do for everyone and also the cost for each step at masterworking 9-12 in total. Let say the average drop may be 25 pieces, it takes 400 blue, 500 gold and 500 leg mats for one item and you have 10 items to do, this means really a lot of 61+ pit runs.
Lets say you want to play not just one character during the season time, maybe you want even not play another class, but build, because of no armory given, it means new character and new masterworking. The pit runs take away the fun. Maybe it is fun, if you are Rob and could run 100+ in 2 minutes or less, but not everyone got the needed time to do the same. Is d4 a streamer game made for streamers to show us, how easy everything could be, if you play 12+ hours a day?
yesreday I did countless pit runs in group up to level 101 and after hours, I would have been able to get two items to 11. The balance between needed mats and time to get those is, and this is only my opinion, not good and makes no fun. What would it change at the game at all, if it would be much easier to use the newest crafting system but it would need much less mats? would it not increase the fun to play if you are not forced to do countless pit runs? If it is easier to get not only one charater to to all items 12of12 in one season?
