I mean I would agree with you if it was fair, which we both know it’s not. I do absolutely think that nightmare 90+ should be not doable unless you fine tune your build and play well. At this moment however, for many builds it’s just straight up borderline impossible no matter what your gear is or how well you play. Like yeah, mobs should do more dmg on higher dif but it should be way less than what it is now.
build up more defenses? the game is meant to be hard the higher up you go and you need to stack dmg reduction and health when and where you can. its not blizz’s fault you are just making yourself a glass cannon lol. that being said, blizz still is destroying their own game and i look forward to the fireside chat where they give us all the middle finger.

Well, I don’t play glass cannon. Although I often have a problem that the character stops attacking (although I use shift + left click) or move. More often problems are due to invisible stuns, hyper-blocking elites. Mass of stunshots.
Sometimes it all looks like a one shot. And the coolest thing in the game is the design that makes you weaker with each level. Why did they start lowering the levels of the mobs to give the appearance of strength… But why splurge.

Well at tier 100/very high tiers, you cannot expect less to be honest, that’s the challenge, otherwise would be too easy

“Just move away” Yeah and make TTK even slower for melee.
“Just don’t stand in the fire” Yeah except you can’t see with all the CC and DoT.
“You can boost defence” Yeah except that makes most builds TTK tedious.
“You’re so casual” Not really, but even so, that was the audience they were aiming for.
“It’s how NMs are supposed to be” Yeah except it is during leveling too for most builds.
“Blah blah git gud” Yeah let’s just work out meta-builds such fun. And then they nerf them anyway.
Fanbois weirdly defending the megacorp aside, the sheer amount of CC, DoTs, OHKs, etc does indeed feel bad, especially for melee.
If only they fix NM to be like Grifts, then you would not reach one that can one tap you.
I hate how lightning shield (the one you gotta stand in) looks exactly like any normal shield buff that you get making it confusing as to which one I actually need to be in. That is an unfair instant kill, imo.
Same goes for the bombs that go off in the other NM dungeon under your feet when enemies die. Be nice if those were easier to see, you know? Esp as I’m dropping traps on those spots.
And the red goblins that run up on you and explode, I wish they were easier to see like their ice/blue variant. Those you can see until they explode, just fine. But the red ones? kinda harder with the dark hues of the environment.

Seriously, you act like there are not other arpgs out there that have facilitated this problem fine, including the previous ones in the Diablo series.
There are a couple of things that can facilitate it. First, increase the zoom out function. No one should be killed by mobs off-screen. A lot of the insta-gibs happen because there is no way to react to a skeleton bow when you can’t see it at all, but it can detect you and fire. Look at old Diablo games and you will notice that you could see more of the combat area (except boss fights, for some reason they have it zoomed out decently enough here) allowing you to react to threats.
Second, fix the darn resistances and revert the armor changes they made. They know the resistances are broken, yet they even had the nerve to add a malignant gem to Sorcerers that boost resistances. Make that make sense? They also decreased everyone’s armor, exposing them to a greater chance of being instantly killed by off-screen attacks. Please, explain the logic in that?
Third, for Sorcs in particular, make range fighting a thing again. Just to do enough damage to survive, most Sorcs have to jump into the middle of mobs with their paper-thin armor and ineffective resists to drop a Frost Nova. Perhaps actually balance the class’s skill-set so they can actually be the glass cannons they are suppose to be, instead of being relegated to some form of magic melee that can shoot at range, but are only effective if they get in close first.
