Rename the expansion Diablo 4 Resurrected since D2R seems to have resurrected D2 popularity it might work for D4.
One small problem, no one has nostalgia for this game. If anything the people who left have overwhelming hatred and distrust toward the company that made it. Beyond a miracle of god, no amount of renaming will fix this debacle they’ve dug themselves into.

D2R didn’t resurrect D2 popularity because the D2 popularity never left.
What D2R needs to do is fully embrace Project Diablo 2 so we get the graphics of D2R within the PD2s’ mod framework.
At that point, I think PD2(D2) would become more successful than D3 & D4.

am i the only one that prefers D2R graphics than diablo 4? i’m talking about the theme/colors/gothicness etc
d4 just looks vacant… shallow… dull
D2R is very pleasing to my eyes, its attractive to look at, i’m awe’d by it

D4 is washed out graphics compared to D2R
I dont think the graphics are technically worse in D4, its more the style they chose to go, which is a dull theme overall, although i’m with you, i prefer D2R’s style way more. However, what is undeniable is that D2R has significantly better lighting effects, its far superior to D4.
