One doubt I had, this season we will have Omnipower Malignant Heart (Core Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0 %)
How can I know what defines a projectile if we don’t have an in-game tag to define it? I would like to build with chain lightning but I have my doubts whether or not we can define “a stream of lightning” as a projectile
I’m pretty sure that it’s a projectile. It is not a “stream” in the same way that incinerate as a channeled ability works. you cast it and it bounces around for a bit. Actually, I think chain lightning is going to be the best skill to use with it. Fireball could be good too if it has some amount of auto targeting.
Hello, I really wanted to do this with chain lighting and I got the wrathful heart with this power and what it does is shoot 2 extra chain lightnings on each side of the original cast. THE BAD THING THEY DONT BOUNCE! THEY HIT ONCE AND DISAPPEAR! so whats the point? this is trash I think it’s a bug? but how could they not test this?

Im thinking charged bolt with homing aspect would be cool

It’s only going to work with Fire Ball and Frozen Orb.
Charged Bolt is going to release ONE extra bolt per 35 mana.
After you try the heart of the barber you will never look at this heart again.

well you just ruined my dreams, I was hoping to have a super burst chain lightning. Lose all mana sure but annihilate a whole pack

Classic, an actual dps decrease then.
Imagine the single target damage if it did work, though. With recharging aspect and some resource generation, we could gain more mana then we spent per cast.
It might even make Chain Lightning Uber Lilith capable.
and it works perfect with Caged Heart of Tempting Fate (Vicious, Offensive-World Tier III): You gain 40-60% Critical Strike Damage but your Non-Critical Strikes deal 20-15% less damage.
and the buff on crit rate on movement speed.
Absolute trash design. It should do one additional cast, not one projectile. And why the hell does it go to the side where it will hit nothing half the time. So dumb fix this blizzard. Maybe going to the side is ok for some projectiles but not chain lightning
Yea that was like my whole reason for playing sorc this season and it’s trash. Inb4 the buffs move the needle like 1 inch and also come with some kind of drawback.
I tried this out. With 128 Mana and using chain lightning, if I use the CL upgrade that has a chance to spawn crackling orbs and I pick the upgrade for gain mana absorbing orbs, this heart is insane.
What it don’t tell you is it empties your mana. The next cast of your CL will cast the amount of mana absorbed x times. So that next cast, for me - 128/38 is 3 extra Bolts on the next cast. The more mana and mana reduction you get the better because if you get a perfect roll, you can start casting 4+ Chain lightnings every cast because there are so many orbs around, you can be at full mana all the time.
The buff do the aspect also helps because those extra CL’s proc it as well.
So once you get going, you are actually casting on average 3+ Chain lightnings at once.
FOr me - It deletes screens.
