OMG this new loot explosion!

It’s been bugging me since the start of the season, whoever thought it was cool to delay the loot dropping and have us watch it drop for an hour unending is a good idea needs a serious reality check!

It is not cool at all, just annoying! Just drop the loot WTH is going on here!

what are you doing that has loot dropping for an hour? I would like to be part of these loot things like this, Maybe i’ll find my gloves or pants or ring or necklace that I’ve been needing.

It is a bit to long. I open the equipment chest then open the materials chest. By the time I collect all the materials the equipment chest is almost done.

Wisper Caches, and 200 Aether chest.

Odd mine only drops loot for like 15 or 20 seconds

That’s a reddit thread.

It’s Casino psychology. They want you to feel like you hit it big even if you didn’t. That way you’ll come back and open up another chest or cache.

They should make an animation for each piece of gold as it crawls out of the chest. :hamster:

I wanted 1 player size coin to pop out of the chest and do a screen shake when it hits the ground. :joy:

Which is about 14 to 19 seconds too long. I don’t want to see each separate Angelbreath or useless blue item drop from the T4 cache I just opened. It’s a trick designed to make us think we’re actually getting something when 99.9% of the time it’s forge fodder. Maybe… just maybe… they could do an individual animation of any GA item or unique that drops. Everything else should be done immediately.

I don’t mind it. I find it hilarious how it just abrupts like that out of thin air.

The greater whisper chests are fun. In past seasons they’ve made the loot drop faster so I suspect we may see that in an upcoming patch.

It takes a good 30 seconds on most whisper tree caches to sit through the individual piles of +5 material X, +5 material Y when they could have just made it one pile of 400 material X and one pile of 400 material Y. It’s the same with living steel still. Having to sit there moving up and down because if I let the pet try to pick it all up it’ll be there for an hour isn’t my idea of fun. Being out in the world killing demons? That’s fun.

If you chose the “greater” cache of gold, it’d be a short wait. You actually get less gold from that than you do from a regular non-upgraded chaos cache.

Or one giant coin that splits into a bunch of little ones all at the same time. That would be nifty looking. Right now it feels like sitting through the Link to the Past’s Master Sword animation on loop a dozen times. Gets old fast.

Not too long at all it’s a few seconds it’s not going to impact anything at all!

ok well If you don’t find the whisper caches fun then here is an idea DON’T turn them in and stay out in the world killing demons which you do find fun!

Try doing some side quests on the new map as well. First, wait 10 seconds for the NPC to walk to the spot, followed by another 10 seconds of dialogue. I thought we’d moved past this in Season 1—why slow players down again?

You’re missing the point. It’s not the time… I wouldn’t mind the 20 second wait if there was actually a decent chance of getting something USEFUL from the drop. But as it stands it’s a complete distraction, a ruse, a way to fake value without actually providing anything of worth.

Season 6 – Vessels of Endless Disappointment would’ve been a much more accurate title.

Those are super annoying in HC… many of those drawn out dialogs take place with active mobs spawning… more than once I was in the middle of clicking the quest giver to advance the dialog when a mob would spawn right on top of us. Not mixing combat into the middle of required dialog is a really low bar in game design that, of course, Blizzard failed to clear.
