Wow, I remember in beta, first time I heard this masterpiece it gave me goosebumps. This beautiful melodic composition made by angels touched my soul. It is so beautiful that Matt Uelmen could have composed this. No self promo, this is not recorded by me, but still for all the people that did not experience it here you go:
I hope that this game has more of these masterpieces. Whoever made this, blizzard, give this man a rise and let him do your future dlc music. He deserves everything!

Dude. Thank you for linking this. This is exactly what D4 should sound like. Amazing song. And the beginning clearly pays homage to D2’s classic music. Extremely well done!

This is amazing! I would listen to podcasts while playing so I didn’t get to hear all of it. Thank you for posting this!

I love how its building up. Like it doesnt need dramatic mess with many melodies at once. It slowly build up and gets more intense, so well done. Whoever made this is a genius. Many soundtracks in diablo 4 missed this immersion, but this one is really good. No, not only really good, it is perfect. It is as you said paying homage to the old diablo sounds. However not in a just copy and paste way. It is self done and put beautifuly together. I pray that the guy made music for all the other acts, because this one is 100% prefect. Couldnt have been done better. It gives me goosebumps no matter how often I hear it. Big shout out to whoever done this soundtrack. Whoever made this is extremely talented

I loved most of the music in what I heard from D4, another one I thought was good was Stronghold Nostrava.
But on to another question this video brings up, how did he make his character walk in the beginning? Couldn’t find any way to walk in the beta and just didn’t have time to look into it further as I was too busy blasting demons.

I am asking this myself lol. I saw people walking in town and I was so confused lol. I would like to know it too
Now that I watched this again, it looks kind of like he’s using a controller stick to put less input on the movement. Must be a console only feature.
Thanks for the link, listening to it for the rest of the work day now!

No problem, I appreciate that I could help you out
It is a good soundtrack for sure, but is the combat really this atrocious? Seems like a mobile/console style of play (spin in place w/o moving limbs and snap to an attack position). Pretty sure D1 was better than this and we only had what, 8 facing positions? Really odd for a new release.
Now im hoping there’s a walk button for PC. If not, can that please be added asap…
I get your point, but this was not about the gameplay. This was about the music. I played diablo 1 since release in year 1997 and I agree it was more tactical, especially on hell dificulty you had to think about every step you make, you would die easily on high diff even with best gear and max lvl 50 char. Diablo 1 is a bit like playing chess, you move slow and you cant escape fast as rogue and warrior, so you got to be thoughtful with your movements. Sorc can jump around with teleport, but as soon hes in melee range he gets stunned easily. Man these times were golden. I kinda miss this type of unfrogivable game mechanic where too fast moving will get you dead easily. In diablo 4 you could run through with no real consequences, I got to admit

We don’t have any of the harder world levels either, at least in the OBT.
The first two are essentially “easy” and “normal” difficulty, respectively.
This piece is my favorite I’ve heard so far! The chords the strings play at the start build so much tension. I’m a huge sucker for cello and will melt if I hear a good cello piece. When I heard this, my jaw dropped open and my eyes glazed over. There are even some Tristram-like guitar chords and melodies. It’s a very moving piece. I’ve really missed this kind of musical immersion in Diablo games. It takes a lot of emotion and intention to make music like this (I have a background in producing music) so mad props to the people deciding on the musical vision and enabling it.

I like music in Gale Valley the most.

The flutes at 37 sound JUST like the bamboo flutes you hear in Shogun: Total War sound track on the campaign map during the Autumn season I believe.
EDIT: Found it:
Shogun: Total War, campaign map music. Mostly end of Spring season. SOunds like a combination of Spring and Summer:
Where’s my isolated solo experience music, i don’t like it, that’s MMO music!
I dont get what you trying to say. What do you mean?
I’ve had this album on loop for the past few months! This song is great, and there’s several others I appreciate but Kyovashad is my absolute favorite. That one gives me goosebumps and can bring me to tears. I would love to see Blizzard perform this music live in concert
