I cannot find a Grandfather to save my life. I have been farming mats, getting on discord and getting in 5 man rotations, doing everything your suppose to, and nothing. In the last month i bet I have done maybe close to 1000 Duriel runs from rotations, and im not exaggerating. 6 Doombringers have dropped, 5 Andys, 2 Shakos, 2 Melted Hearts, 2 Starless rings. AND 0 GFS… Statisically that should be impossible if all uber unqiues have a 2 precent chance of dropping. I can’t farm anymore mats, i feel its a waste of time. Anybody else having this kind of luck? What am I going to do with 6 Doombringers and 5 Andys??? We should be able to trade Uber uniques for other uber uniques only. I understand its RNG, been playing Diablo for 25 years. But when there is target farming now, thats kinda ridiculous. Blizz, let us trade uber uniques for other uber uniques. That should be the benefit of finding one… 6 Dooms should not drop before a 1 GF when target farming…

with 1,000 runs… ouch, i hear 50% of the time it works everytime
they clearly advertised that not everyone will have the ubers they want, or an uber item at all.
This game isnt a job. take a break, especially if you are honest about being close to 1000 duriel runs.
Stuff happens. i have yet to get a ber rune to drop in diablo 2. no idea how many hours i spent on d2 and d2r.

I don’t think people are keen on farming mats for months on end 4 times / year to finish a build to compete on a ladder against streamers, RMTers or the incredible lucky few.
Account bind gold and materials
Increase drop rate to 20%
And all of a sudden everyone can get those items and the game can be endgame balanced around that.
As it is now, it’s a sea of haves and have nots and it’s wrecking havoc among friends and the general community.
2% is high enough to trick people they’ll actually get what they want, but so low that if you’re unlucky you’ll never see what you want drop…
so you basically dont want to invest any time and be done with the season in week 1.
actually here is a tip for ya, make a new barb (i know this sounds crazy) ask a buddy to carry you to wt4, pay for runs to get carried in duriel runs (i actually bought 10 runs for only 150m gold) and you will get your grandfather by run 19.
my buddy just made a new barb (he accidently leveled his meta to 3 and now is rerolling a new barb to cap it at level 1) and our 4th druiel run he had 2 ubers drop today (maybe its thanksgiving day magic or the new character bonus luck) whatever the case we had 2 more newbies join and 1 got a shako and 1 got a melted heart…

i have no idea, but i made a rogue yesterday (to use the doombringer i got on my barb) and my rogue being a fresh character got a shako drop within only 12 or so runs… it was crazy, i ran druiel a ton on my other characters but just a handful on the rogue and BOOM got what i really wanted.
i agree, 2 percent is good. But 6 of the same uber unique should not drop before, thats ridculous
It’s called Rng. Hell it took me 8 months to farm a gun in WoW on my hunter that had a 36 percent drop rate.
Sometimes you just get unlucky.
If everything was guaranteed you’d have nothing to do.
I know but Rng is Rng mate…We cant do anything about that…Some people from what they said didnt even drop 1 uber unique in 500 runs…
You complete a season in one week as it is.
A bump from 2% to 20% would alleviate endgame über acquisition since the game will be balanced around those broken items if they’ll continue as is.
Streamers won’t have a huge advantage and chinese gold farmers / bots will leave the scene because selling materials, gold and yellows will no longer be profitable.
That revenue stream can be directed to the skin store instead and net ATVI more sweet greenies.
I farmed a metric ton of materials and done a metric ton of Duriel runs and have the übers I want. But it cannot be stressed enough that it hasn’t been a pleasant endgame experience and all of my friends agree that we’ll do it this season but no more.

wont ever happen. as i said, it was clear that not everyone will have an uber. itd be ridiculous if uber uniques had a higher drop chance than regular uniqes, especially considering that they roll with max values.
i know what RNG is, but that is beyond bad luck…
In like 200 attempts the only uber I have is doombringer and my character can’t even use it lol

They aren’t really needed. I mean I got my T90+ NMD done and Uber Lilith down before I even attempted farming duriel.
Sure I would like some more Ubers, but really what do I even need them for? I already one shot all Mobs and steam roll bosses. So at best I kill bosses 1-2 seconds faster? It just aint that serious.
same haha, im using it on my bone spear necro right now, with the vampiric power that lets you do 40% of your max health as dmg upon skill usage. It def not the best for dps but i feel pretty tanky with it ^^ I mean its after all like +40ish % max life ^^
Im in the same boat as you…I lvl 2 100 lvl characters in this season and they are both overpowererd…
Im not willing to do 500-1000 Duriel runs and stopped playing 1 week ago…
Now im waiting the new glyph to start play again…
PS: Lilith and 100 NM dungeons done…All glyphs 21 on both chars done…So nothing else to do in game…
I gave up on that hamster wheel at about 30ish runs (SSF) and rolled an alt.
