Hello, I finally bought Diablo IV to play it for good but I am aware Diablo IV is still online-only and this is unfortunate. Since Diablo IV shall be supported for several years (3+?) I beg you to let us play the game offline, I want to be able to play the whole main campaign and its story expansions offline if my internet goes down!
I assure you Diablo IV will sell more if people know they can play it offline too.

I doubt it but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. They can still sell all their cosmetics to offline players. Obviously offline and online characters wouldn’t ever be able to mix.
I’d like an offline or at least a pausable solo online mode too.

Yeah, Diablo II: Ressurrected is a recent proof if Blizzard wants, we can have both Offline and Online mode within the same game!

They need the cosmetic shop to work primarily to appease shareholders, offline mode will not assist with this. This is not a game created with passion and love, don’t confuse that… this is a platform developed with a priority of opening consumers wallets.
To clarify, when you go to a town in multiplayer, any cosmetics you have purchased and wear… you are now paying blizzard to advertise for them.
Offline mode will not advertise to others on behalf of blizzard.
They already said so many times there will never be an offline mode

There are multiple campfire chats and multiple interviews the devs gave that they answered that question over and over.
I dont need to prove anything, it already exists. Google is your friend.
Its not designed to be played offline. There are world events, wb, pvp zones which are made to be played with other ppl.
that’s proof that they remastered a game that originally had offline/online modes.
D4 is built from the ground-up to be always online. D3 on consoles had offline mode. D4 doesn’t: it’s online only.

It is funny you claim there is so much “evidence” yet you did not bother to name one. Researching it myself they said there wouldn’t be offline mode 4 years ago. And Blizzard Enterteinament is one of the most deceiving gaming studios ever! Just look at Overwatch “2”, the Embodiment of Deception, lies after lies to manipulate the public to keep engaged on that dead game. Whatever Blizzard told 4 years ago is necessarily worthless, I don’t care about whatever they claimed. Diablo III used to be online-only yet when it was ported to consoles it is fully playable offline, I own a PS4 copy myself and can attest to that.
Especially now Microsoft finally bought Activision Blizzard all plans can change, so if Blizzard is required to add Offline Mode to Diablo IV, they WILL add Offline Mode to Diablo IV, period. Hence the importance of keeping demanding for Offline Mode. I do my part and let Blizzard know what I want, it isn’t my problem if they are unwilling to comply.
As a matter of fact I bought Diablo IV 46% discounted, so Blizzard lost a lot of money from me.

I see in comments some people fiercely defending this decision of Blizzard. Don’t; they don’t deserve our defense and we deserve to have Offline Mode if we want or need to use. This is a problem they created themselves, no one told them we wanted online-only game; so it is more than fair they solve this mess all by themselves.
I appreciate your actual evidence, colleague. But to reply these statements, first, it does not matter what this mere UI designer plans are, at best she is only a messenger, she just shared an information she was told to. As for Joe, the game director with the actual value of opinion, it’s cool to have all these features, but only when we want to, not being forced to have all these online features on all the time ever. We don’t need to have the “best experience” turned on for everybody all the time, this always-online is far more of an inconvenience to everybody than a feature. As a trivial example, I died not long ago in an event because the game froze all characters in place for 1 minute then suddenly I was dead so I failed it. And playing in Sanctuary, I found no one around to play with wither, they must have been in very far places, which is different from Diablo Immortal which is a free-to-play game with much smaller maps and far more engaging social features, and that work.
This is just a matter of Will. In 6 months, Diablo IV can easily have the Offline Mode ready to be deployed. Let’s go.

This is a very odd statement.
You bought the original game KNOWING what you were buying, so that DOES make it your problem.
The fact that you need to let blizz know that you’re unhappy and demand changes to said product you already paid for, STILL makes it your problem because you already paid for it.
This portion of your statement is weird as well. You KNEW (or it was your opinion) according to you that blizz was whatever, yet you STILL purchased said product from them
Your entire post sounds like buyers remorse….and that is completely your problem. Sorry to say. Not much anyone can do🤷🏻‍♂️
I am not defending blizz, as even i am unhappy about some things in this game, but like i said…it is my problem as i already paid for said product

Definitely agreed. Offline mode should be a thing.
Some offline games have cosmetic shops, so it definitely is possible. If Blizzard wanted to.

Console cheating did not happen due to offline mode, but rather due to online saves being stored offline. Which was just an insane decision from Blizzard.

Blizzard is a company who want to sell you more than the base game, so it still seems fairly relevant for future sales.
Not that it wouldnt be relevant even without future sales.
Also worth remembering, not everyone who got access to D4 have bought D4 directly, as it has been given to people in at least one other event.
(Yes I know OP mentioned he bought it).
Further, D4 is on sale in various places now, so not having offline mode could be a reason Blizzard didn’t get someone, maybe even OP, to pay full price. In which case, lost money for Blizzard (whether they would have lost more money from the online only crowd if there was an offline mode is hard to know of course).
To be fair, the truth does seem better than fun.
