So if internet is down or we have bad connection or lag
Or just want to play solo
I think everyone would appreciate this option

This would have negative impacts on the overall player population online in the realm of d4.
The goal is more inclusion and less isolation.

And?
You only need a group for world bosses, and once you have killed each once, it’s not worth it to do again. Legion events are soloable. You can always play off line and invite people to your game if you want to group.
Online play is having a measurable negative impact on many players. Especially in HC mode. Imagine getting to 75, getting DC’d and logging back in dead. Happened to plenty of people. Always online has had more of a negative affect on the world than having an off line mode would.

No. Seriously. All that does in add saved data to the console, and people hack it. D3 seasons was ruined by exploits and hacked gear, so unfortunately this is not gonna happen.

an option to create “offline” character will solve the issues. Want to play alone? Please, but you never will be able to participate in leaderboard and interact with other players, to lock cheaters away
But something tells me, for blizz will be cheaper to lost people who suffer from online than implement offline mode:-)

I think you should join the people whining about adding offline to Diablo 3, then when that’s taken care of, start asking for it for Diablo 4.
12 years plus, Blizzard must be ALMOST ready to give in.
Just stop asking. It’s not gonna happen. The entire game is set up for online and it’s not as easy as flipping a switch.
