Curious if there is an offline installer? Have limited bandwidth with my home ISP so was hoping I could download while at work / library then transfer / install to my PC. Ok with doing updates, just don’t want to take a 45GB+ hit.
I suspect there is not - i haven’t been able to find one yet - so thought I’d check.
There is no offline installer for Diablo IV. However you are able to download the game on one network and transfer the Data folder to another PC on a different network to avoid data caps.
You could start the Install on your home PC to get it to create the folder structure, then pause the download once it gets to the point of downloading the bulk of the data (XX.XX GB remaining @ XX.XX MB/s).
Then fully install the game on the other PC with no data cap. Copy the entire Diablo IV\Data folder over to your home PC and replace the mostly empty Data folder with the one from the full install. Restart the Battle.net app and it will scan everything to make sure the game is up to date. At that point you should be good to go and only need to download new patches.
You don’t even need to do that. Just install the Battle.net app on the PC being used on the network without a data cap, download the entire game, then just copy the entire game folder to the home PC and point the Battle.net app at the folder’s install location and off to the races you go. No need to do a bunch of wonky partial stop and go measures.
Make sure you exit (not minimize) the launcher during copying/pasting of folders on each. Working with the data folders while the launcher is running can cause it to freak out sometimes. Just FYI.
