Hello, I’m playing a Sorceress and my offhand (focus) transmog at the wardrobe is constantly resetting to the default look. I’m not changing offhands or unequipping it, so it’s definitely just a bug that needs to be fixed.

The same thing is happening to me. Any time I change other equipment the offhand will revert to its original form. I also saw it happen once when I was moving gems from my inventory to my stash, however it happens consistently with any action I take regarding equipment changing of any equipment slot.
I just moved a set of boots from one spot to another within my inventory and it said I equipped a different weapon type and removed the transmog.
Same issue as well, offhand keeps resetting to default appearance.
I’m having the same issue. It seems to happen when equipping gear or moving gear around in your inventory.
Same with my Necro and offhand
Transmog here is apparently character based instead of item based.
So when you swap say weapon types from a 2h scythe to a 1h scythe + focus… the game looks at your items and says “that’s not a 2h scythe” and just reverts to the default item graphic. But if you where to swap between different 2h scythes it should hold the appearance.
I really doubt it’s something they can easily fix, sadly, even if it is a really clunky and intuitive design
I have the same problem and it’s really annoying. Whenever you have the book in your second hand, the transmog is reset as soon as you move something in the inventory, put something in your own box or something similar. The problem only affects if you use the book (in its original state without transmog). as soon as you change the book, the bug starts to suck. With the other second-hand devices such as the ball or cube (in the original state) you can use the transmog and the bug does not occur.
Having the same issue. All other transmogs seem to stay, but off hand keeps resetting.
Another thing along the same lines, it would be really nice if the transmogs stayed if we swapped between a 2H and 1H+OH. As it stands now, if I transmog a staff, then switch to a 1H and then go back to the staff the staff reverts to its original state.
Very annoying if you are swapping on the fly “in the field.”
I would say its more equipment slot based and a 2H slot isn’t treated the same as a 1H slot even though they occupy the same spot on your character sheet, but that is a separate issue. The issue that OP and others are having is that the Off Hand slot keeps reverting all by itself with no weapon swapping.
Hi there, only just now having this bug starting, it is of course a book that is causing my issue as well. It still hasn’t been fixed.
also for me as well and the book focus can not be enchanted. please fix

+1 same issue on my sorc, the focus resets saying “the transmog does not fit the weapon type” and this heppens periodically without swapping items of any kind
Happens just by grabbing items from the ground, unequipping items, swapping items out of the stash, including completely unrelated items, like gems.
Just want to clarify: There’s no changing or swapping of equipment required. Any time an item, be it armor, potions, aspects, gems, etc… as far as I’ve confirmed, is moved using click-and-drag methods from one inventory slot to another inventory slot, to include the stash, a notification will pop up saying the transmog was removed because the weapon type is different. Note that no equipment was actually changed, however in the case that the offhand is swapped the same message appears with the same result.
Most likely it’s an issue with inventory management and manual sorting. I don’t have the issue when clicking the sort button, right-clicking to equip gear (except the offhand), or right-clicking to stow things in the stash. Any time an item is moved, though, in any tab or within the stash, that popup appears and deregisters my transmog.
You’re absolutely right, it’s likely something that’ll have to come out in a patch unless inventory and equipment management is handled on the back end and only presented when we interact with it. We might get lucky and find it in a hotfix if that’s the case, but that’s unlikely.
Nope my weapon reverts back for no damn reason at all… I don’t try to change it, I don’t remove it. I just look down and see a normal ax and I’m like omg again wtf ever.
