Is anyone else experiencing the oculus bug on evade? I have deliberately not chosen teleport as an enchantment to avoid the random teleport effect and instead use the standard evade charges. However, for some reason, teleport is still linked to my evade and does the random teleport thing. Please fix this Blizzard!
If you are wearing the Oculus wand, the wand teleport effect will supersede the teleport enchantment. Also while using Oculus, you no longer have evade… it will always be the random teleport. Lastly, you shouldnt have teleport as an enchant while wearing Oculus as the effect is negated from the wand.
So choose another wand if you dont want the oculus random teleport effect. The only reason why youd choose oculus is to get the random teleport effect. The main benefit of oculus is it is super strong defense: It is another panic button (you can teleport an infinite amount of times with Oculus if you have +3 evades on the wand) as well as gives you damage reduction. Also it gives you speed if your goal is to speed run NMDs. If you look at youtube videos with oculus, youll see blizzard and Flamewall sorcs lighting up nmd rooms and teleporting to the next room to do the same. You can use your regular telport skill to take you to the next room if occulus doesnt get you there after a few random teleports
Another nice thing about oculus is that it is a nice pairing with raiment: sometimes the teleports are short distances and therefore you drag a mob of enemies with you through multiple teleports and stun them multiple times (and drag them through whatever blizzard / firewall Damage you have going on). Overall Oculus is probably the most fun weapon as a sorc and it is why ive had it equipped since July of last year exept when i was a BL sorc and was using Lycander spear

Thank you for clearing that up. A closer read of the unique effect confirms what you are saying. I’m disappointed that I can’t pair Oculus with Flickerstep to reduce ultimate cooldowns which in turn then increase my ice blades enchantment to reduce CD on meteor. I’m currently sitting on 3.32 second cooldown on meteor with Starfall which is a lot of fun.
