ya gonna get boo’ed for this too, but tier 3 mats for masterworking 550 per item from 9-12 times 11 items (rouge) =6050 divide by 22 per tier 66 run = 275 solo runs.
NO i am not in a large active clan. IF you group ONLY the person that opens gets the normal (say 22 materials) the others in group get less so… grouping is not really helpful.
so 275 runs at even 4 minutes per run (ya AGAIN, I am NOT a “top tier” player) is a LOT OF HOURS and that is if you pop every desired masterwork criteria every time and don’t need to re-do. serioulsy yhat is not “casual friendly gaming” more of a dang JOB and I am retired so no thanks. the amount of material required should have been lowered A LOT as well as they did the money portion of it.

I know what you mean! The material requirements is too high. That or they should multiply the drop rates 3x.
I shouldn’t have to grind like a Korean MMORPG to get to end point, especially when Masterworks is RNG to stats, and it’s unrefundable. (We can reroll, but lose ALL the materials)

they should reduce neathiron material costs by at least 50-60% or give a much larger increase in neathiron per increased tier of difficulty in the pit. right now this bottleneck in character progression is one of the main reasons i’m not more interested in maxing out a build, let alone making a second character.

It better to do it solo.
Doing it in a clan is slower, because only the Pit opener gets full mats. Everyone else gets 1/2 mats. Doing Pit in groups of 4 is only for people pushing. Farming is best done alone.
I myself have not MW’d any of my characters to 12/12 in every piece of gear, too much work, not doing that crap. Even my main doesn’t have 12/12 gear.
i get like 1000 in one hour , if anything it’s the others basic mats i need to farm 
well tbh you just doing smthing wrong if you think that mats requirements are too high.

I think they will adjust the cost at some point. There was not much to this season so i think they wanted to keep us busy playing farmville while also collecting bricks.
you dont need +12 for speed 101s
average speed 101 is 2 - 3 mins post 1.4.3. high speed meta builds can be sub 1 min to 1.30 min
60 Neathiron per run on 101
Thats 110 runs of 30 runs per hr = appx 4 hrs of farming.
1 round of +12 isnt hard to farm. Right crit MW is tedious, it can cost 6.6k to north of 50k for perfections.
Tl:dr, dont bother with +9-12 mw unless you are pushing 130+ post patch… tier 121 is pre patch tier 100s…
I maxed Masterworked my main necro. Not going to regrind for my bash barb. He’ll remain unfinished and level 91
damn. People just want to do the bare minimum for this game lol. Sad

Casuals don´t need to have 12/12. Stop trying to make D4 100% for casuals. 99% is more than enought

Make WW barb, run 100 pit in 2 mins. Get full 12/12 gear in 1-2 days. Season has 3 months so why do you even cry?
I agree the requirements are steep. It does get a lot more efficient at higher pit tiers though. If you run tier 91 it goes down to 121 runs (based on your figures). Also the last patch made the Pit easier - a lot more builds should be able to get to the 80s or 90s in the pit now.
To me, its not that the material reqs are too high, but its you have to do the same 3 dungeons over and over…and over
To be fair, you don’t HAVE to do anything.
Even if you’re doing pit 100’s at 5 minutes, which still isn’t great… that’s 12 runs per hour at 60 Neathirons per run.
That’s 720 Neathiron per hour.
That’s easily capping 1 piece of gear per hour.
Claiming THAT is too much… is just silly.
Can people at least play the game without expecting to max everything there is to do in an evening.
Pit is really easy now, there’s no need to stay in the low tiers.
Do 91 or 101 as your farm stage.

there is no way I can solo a 101 upper 60’s solo is current limit. sorry not all of us despite having correct build, gear, sepcs etc are that uber. 101 nope can’t be done BY ME hence the post with MY time runs, MY capability etc.

You want tripple crits on an stat. I rolled 50 times already and never got a double crit.
I farmed like 1 week and still no progress.
Not everyone is a copy cat max roll build copy cat yes saying man.
If you get fun go on a webside copy cat everything and call “i run 101 pits eas peasy” its fine but you should not write anything.
Since there’s literally nothing else to do in the game at this point except perfect your gear… are the costs REALLY too high?
This is the most boring stuff i ever played.
