Nothing-burger patch?

After all the patch was hyped up, this seems pretty underwhelming.

Pretty much the only significant change from what I can see is you can teleport to nm dungeons. The completion bonus for nm dungeons was “significantly increased”, which apparently means increasing it from 100k to 200k for a tier 50. Doesn’t seem that significant to me. I can’t speak to the exp bonus from the actual mobs, since all my chars are 100.

I only play barb and sorc, so idk if it’s different for other classes, but NOTHING in the patch notes is going to change a single thing for either class. 2% buffs to basic skills, wow, amazing.

Maybe someone can do something with the iron maelstrom buff for barb, make some ground stomp infinite cooldown refresh build or something. But none of the other skills have changed whatsoever.

The only noticeable buff for sorcerer is a 10% damage buff on frozen orb, which from what I understand was a pretty garbage skill, and probably still will be. Not a single noticeable buff to any other sorc skill, unless someone can do something with lightning spear and crackling energy.

I was expecting like 60-80% damage buffs on a lot of the trash skills, but it looks like the meta won’t be changing until season 1.

Any big buffs to the other classes?

The updates to Rogues were minimal at best - I don’t think the devs get the landslide of difference between what’s available to rogues in aspects vs skills - and what they buffed - 2% - 5% buffs is NOT going to change the meta by any means.

Until season 1? Brother, I think this IS the balance patch for season 1. You’re gonna be waiting for season 2 for them to make Sorc worth playing.

I don’t even know where to begind.

These patch notes SCREAM a disconnect from the players and devs. They are going to trickle along patches over YEARS and nothing will be changed in a relative time to what they already have ready to ship.

The patch notes literally change nothing about the game. Nothing fundamentally wrong with the game was addressed and if anything was buffed it was within 5-10% changes. These are MICRO ADJUSTMENTS TO SYSTEMS THEY THINK ARE FINE. SYSTEMS THEY WILL NOT CHANGE BECAUSE THEY ARE HEADSTRONG READY TO DISTRACT YOU WITH SEASON 1.

This was DEFINITELY NOT THE 13 PAGE PATCH UPDATE. This was the pre patch to that.

Otherwise we need to run, and run fast away from these psycho devs

It’s minimal at best. Inventory quality of life is just horrible

I was hoping to see a solution for the Minion Necro but the issue remains. At least I can level Bone Spear on my alt.

Druid got some good buffs to underperforming abilities. Either damage got increased 20-30% or special effect proc got raised 10%.

The lightning storm duration going from 4 to 6 seconds is enormous. Being able to rain down multiple bolts more frequently is big. The resource generation increases were small, but very welcome.

It’s not a nothing burger, it’s more of a “crumble under the convenience police” patch more like… Which is even worse in a way cause it was the exact thing I was afraid

At least they increased XP gain in late game but didn’t make the game more challenging while doing it, on the contrary they buffed everything so it’s even more EZ mode “grind your way” game

Don’t really feel so bad. Playerbase shouldn’t hype something up to extreme proportions that it has very little info on.

Lol you want 60-80% damage buffs. Glad you don’t balance video games.

You’re malding if you’re a Barb and upset. Brawling skills as a whole and Iron Maelstrom as an ultimate are actually viable now

Yes, this is what was needed. Take basically the strongest build in game and buff it quite a bit while everything else gets a 1% buff.

I’m just pumped as a druid player to see that they buffed our wolfs up. Since we get to have 2 wolfs at once it’s really nice to see some buffs for them.

you see that’s the issue with you 2020’s gamer boys.
You think game development works like cooking some pretzels. You mix some stuff for 10 min and shove it into the owen for 20 mins.

And you see only game mechanic changes which favors your taste as valid and nothing else.
Bugfixing takes also a lot of work. And currently that’s the prio 1.

Which druid build are you referring to? The top tier ones don’t rely on lightning storm. Most are bear/earth skill builds. There’s a solid storm wolf, but does it rely lightning casts or auto procs?

Think you’re confused on which are the “top tier” builds.

Which is why I’m asking. Please let me know what builds you are referring to so I understand your point.

Pulverize is the main thing until you get the gear to swap. Once you have it, werewolf lightning/nado is by far better. Godly Farming Build in Diablo 4 - Stormwolf Tornado Druid - YouTube Here ya go if you want to see.
