Not one issue was addressed

You didn’t address a single issue the community has been telling you for weeks, if not months, about this class.

And you had the nerve to hype up this dumpster fire of a patch? lying to your customers really is a blizzard tradition.

“13 pages of balance changes!”

And we get one percent buffs to Fn basic skills that no one wants to use in the first place?

Meanwhile uniques are still garbage, the class still revolves around the exact same 4 defensive skills and our main stat defenses are still broken.

I’ll give you credit, you fixed the trash xp so I can re roll out of this garbage class that you have no clue how to fix.

I personally would say it less “angry”, but I agree with all points.

A “balance patch” should bring balance right? Everyone who plays this game and knows a bit about it agreed, that sorc was ( and after this patch of course still is ) the worst class in D4. The fun (for me at least) is there, but dmg wise and defense wise Sorc was and is not even close to the other classes.

So could somebody explain to me why a “balace patch” just buffs every class and let the “good classes” become even better and let the “bad class” still be bad?

Yeah I could have been less angry with my response. But I tend to get that way when I’m being lied to. They said they were listening to our feedback. This patch proves one of two things.

1 they are listening and just don’t want to do the changes needed.

2 they aren’t listening.

This is Diablo 3 all over again.

I guess one of the problems is, that no one of the devs plays a sorc.
The other problem is, that sorc is the most popular class, so they assume, that the class is “fine”.
Would be really interesting to know how many Sorc players ( who of corse still have a sorc in their character screen ) already rerolled to a “good class”.
And another problem might be, that they just have no idea >how bad exactely< resistence is compaired to the main defensive stats from the other classes.
Surely there are probably even more of those problems, but yeah… change class? quit playing? create more “cry posts”? I do not know the solution.

Honey, the game released like 2 weeks ago.

Take a breath ok? Its simply pixels on your screen. Now, when you are calm and rational, read the next part.

Diablo 4 is a live service game. It is not meant to be in it’s finished state at purchase. What you see here is the worst version the game will be since it is still technically in beta. We still have yet to see the following core functionality aspects of the game.

  1. the ladder system
  2. the seasonal end-game affix
  3. the battle pass

All three of these are core functionality parts of the game that are not implemented, and this has been communicated to you since last year, until the beginning of season 1.

Stop crying, stop whining and stomping your feet and having a meltdown. If you own this game and play this game, it should mean you are an adult. Please act like it.

So having a class with broken defense(int, all res,) that wont be patched until after season 1 is ok?

As an adult I’m pretty tired of having games shipped that aren’t complete. Making excuses for companies shipping half complete games is why they keep doing it. Why finish it when people like you will just defend them and they can continue to give you half the product you paid for. I remember when patches were used to fix I foreseen issues. Now they’re used to drip out the content in the game that should be there at launch.

Please tell me why basic things like gem pouch and reasonable stash space is something we should wait months or years for? These are basic arpg qol mechanics. Why weren’t they in the base game?

They said “play your way” over and over. You don’t play your way. You play the only build that works. But go ahead and make excuses for a billion dollar company shipping a game that is so flawed. That’s your right.

Wrong, thats exactly what youre supposed to do because it works. They flat out said to do that in the patch notes.

So keep giving feedback aka whining. Make 100 new posts every day complaining and they will be more likely to address it.

Honey, the game was shipped completed.

The campaign and content alone is worth the box price. The additional seasons and end-game is just gravy.

If you don’t like it, stop whining and quit. That’s it. This isn’t an airport sweetie pie, there is literally no need to announce your departure.

Completed?

Like resists not actually doing anything? Which coincides with intelligence as that is part of the buffs you receive from it.
Like not being able to see the ground around a Blight Necro?
Like no gem storage, that apparently is going to take until SEASON 2 to put in?

I could go on, but acting like this still isn’t Beta is some seriously white knighting. They sold an incomplete game to get it out before PoE2.

Could you be a little bit more cringe with your “honey and sweetie pie” crap? Nobody here is your honey or sweetie pie.

lol, literally nothing but the campaign is nowhere close to be finished. Live service or not, this is a full on disgrace for a 60-100 dollar title.

It is beyond pathetic to find excuses for stuff an idiot could adress in the span of 15 minutes.

If I was a D4 lead dev. at Blizzard there would be a patch within 2 weeks that fixes 80%-90% of the known issues without hesitation.

I run a 500+ ppl organization that deals in way way more complex processes as a game developer and I would be ashamed if it took us 4 weeks to come up with a half a*s solution like this patch is.

Honey, no.

Listen, take a huge, deep breath. Let me help you to calm down by explaining somethings you may not understand, ok sweetie pie?

First, no, you do not run a 500+ person organization otherwise you’d understand what the prior 1 year of explaining the seasonal system would explain the lack of end-game.

Second. The campaign is finished. It was incredible. The story had throwbacks to diablo 1, 2 and 3. There was quests that told us the fate of the Paladin, of Tal Rasha who housed Baal, an incredible co-op experience and crisp gameplay.

If you were a D4 dev, this game would not have sold $660m copies, it would have failed like everything else you’ve ever tried to achieve in your life.

We get it. You don’t like the game. Your life is empty and you do nothing but play games. YOu wer hoping that Diablo 4 would fill the empty void of your single, unhappy and lonely life, and it didn’t.

I’m sorry you feel that way. Maybe find a normal crutch instead of whining, crying, and complaining about a video game that MILLIONS of players have loved since the 90s when the original Diablo came out.

It sounds like this is not your game. Kindly announce your departure, and leave. Nobody here is going to beg you to stay, and the community will be better off without players like you.

Hit me up on a private msg and I will link you my linkedin profile.

You misinterpret my words. It is quite in contrary, I love the game, hence why I care.

To be fair Diablo 2 was a finished product at release. Any bugs that people noticed were usually patched. Lord of Destruction was a bonus to an already good Diablo 2 game.

The problem with games since 2010 is that companies feel they can release an unfinished product then have consumers forget about the release or be replaced at a later date. This is actually bad for the video game industry as a whole. It promotes lazy cash grabs by publishers at the expense of the development teams and consumers.

You know, if D4 was unpolished by at the same time innovative enough, I could forgive this as well. But as it stands it is a complete ripoff from previous Diablo iterations while downgrading in so many areas it is incomprehensible for me. QoL, lootspiral and interface are just the tip of the icebergue.

I urge you, log into D2 or D3, the D2 loot is ten-fold as advanced, the D3 interface is fluid. Then join a Greater Rift and check how freaking many mobs there are.

Honey, the game is 10 years in development and a core stat is still completely broken.

Honey, use your brain for once.

Sorc in its current state NEEDS 1 or 2 super uniques to be competitive with other classes. Take it or leave it.

Stat stick, third enchantment slot, resistances fixed, and mana… THAT WOULD BE A START.

THEN… synergize fire and lightning better and rework that crap. Even ice needs damage buffs too because 250k shard vs 10m+ damage whirly bois that facetank 75+ LOL. Makes sense bruh.
