As the post title suggest, you would think Pez would come on here and either issue some clarity on the eternal situation given how many posts are being made on this topic. " We are listening" Except if you play eternal I guess
No, they only engage on twitter or during live streams.
You must be new they seldom ever post on this forum. Go to X or Reddit.
You would expect them to carefully measure their responses since the player base stands on each word they say, and will on them regardless of their intentions.
the twelve of you that keep making posts account for such a small part of the playerbase what makes you think they care?
Its clear that they dont care, I can agree with you on that. Maybe the 12 of us making posts about it have a point? Have you taken a second to even consider the other side ?
They already gave their statement. You just need to read between the lines:
Our hope is that these new systemic changes allow for new characters to reach the endgame faster.
The emphasis is on new characters. If you have an existing one, fully built in Eternal, then too bad. The systemic changes was purposely designed for new characters --namely it’s for seasonal content.
The new changes are designed to help seasonal characters and at the expense of eternal characters.
We felt Sacred and Ancestral Items lost their specialness and flair due to how common they became. These changes transform Ancestral items into mighty endgame items worth the chase.
The item level rework was design to make the endgame item hunting worthwhile for new characters.
If you have an existing character, it’s not new by definition.
Why did they sacrifice eternal characters? Because I believe there is more value on seasonal characters changes which is probably prompted by $$$ profits.
every expansion this will happen. there will be new item power or level or something. now does it suck that three seasons in a row you been hit, yes. but really s5 uniques is the only unexpected one. the s4 itemization overhaul we knew about for more than 6months. and the expansion is to be expected.
Yes , that is the point . 3 seasons in a row. At what point do eternal players get to say WTF? You are right, it is reasonable to get new ITEM power in the new expansion - albeit its more of an MMO thing. But there has been no consistent base game since S1, therefor I havent gotten the experience I have paid for yet. I enjoy min maxing chars to the tiniest percentage upgrades, taking months sometimes years to get that last percentage point . Thats my fun. I dont enjoy grinding the leveling process over and over every season only bringing 1 char to ALMOST maxed out. At what point do I get to say, Hey this is not what i paid for?
