I know I will probably be in a minority, but here goes. I have played D4 since it opened now and have to say that claims it is also a single player game are wrong. I lost nearly 200k in deaths and armor repairs and still failed to kill one boss mob - the one with the daughter whose mother is wring in her own blood wanting to cross the black lake. Virtually the first boss in the game. This does not encourage me to play on when I know the bosses are going to be too hard for me alone. And I want to play on cos I like the game, just not the difficulty level!
I don’t mind difficult but give me a chance to kill the normal bosses on my own please. I don’t mind teaming up with a friend now and then but we can’t do it all the time.
I am aware many of you will enjoy the difficulty, but I can’t be alone in feeling the step from D3 to D$ is huge in difficulty on normal level.

Um, not to be rude, but I just hit level 80 on a minion-based necro build in tier 4. I’m retired, have had two strokes, and suffer from arthritis. I exclusively play solo. What are you talking about? If you just need help with a build or gear, ask in the appropriate class forum. I’m sure someone will help.

Thats the first real fight for some builds I had to move stuff around to defeat her build and gear but you can kill her. What build?
You really are - if you are struggling on WT1 Google and YouTube might be of assistance. There are some great guides to help understand basic Diablo 4 mechanics and get your started.
The Maxroll website is a good place to start.

You can’t be serious. The game doesn’t get hard until WT4.
Dude seriously. Why so hostile you know this is what forums are really for right?

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be hostile. I just get carried away.
I think for many new players to the genre this is a pretty tough boss. Mainly because your target keeps running away off the map into kill zones.
Then you get an additional difficulty spike when it spawns mobs.
I think your best option is not to worry about killing the boss, instead learn about the boss attack patterns.
So the Spinning Blood line - only the fireball ends actually do damage. You can run in the center and it will do no damage.
The Blood Leash that attaches to the boss you can easily avoid by staying on the side.
Try not to pop potions too often instead use abilites that will mitigate damage.
I think from your previous post you mentioned you were a sorcerer? If I remember right
So use your frost shield when you think you can’t avoid damage.
If you have trouble dodging and attacking instead focus on summoning abilities like Hydra and Javelin to do your damage for you.

Uhhh… can’t tell… if joking…
I’m pretty sure you can kill every boss in World I/II just by basic attacking and chugging potions.
This is the most savage thing I’ve read all day.

It wasn’t meant to be savage. Just a reality check with a little friendly advice stuck on the end. lol

Jeez maybe youd have less strokes if you were more active instead of being sedamentary in front of a screen with flashing lights all day long since youre retired lol…
Barbarian and I looked up skill sets to use so I’d have an edge. Thanks for the advice I did get a friend to help me but I was L 23 by the time I had farmed enough cash to try again. I was farming in the starting area so I didn’t get killed again. Ah well, onward and upward as they say.
Two strokes. The few cells left in that brain are enticed by the flashing lights but not smart enough to realise thats what caused all the other cells to die causing the last 2 strokes… like picture an old lady zombie just jaw dropped down drueling mesmerised by the lights…
These are the types of comments the forum, and society in general, could do without as they are simultaneously presumptuous and judgmental. Not only am I retired, but my strokes were a result of bad genetics. I was in the Air Force, have been married over thirty years, and have raised six children to adulthood. What have you done?

Diagnosed you. Your welcome now stop gaming. The game i believe does have a warning. They all do nowadays. Maybe not back when you started stroken out when games started stroben out… but today. This is honesty. Dont put it out there if youre afraid to be judged.
You can’t be serious, the game doesn’t get hard.
First, you’re confusing Epileptic seizures with strokes. They are completely different. Second, you just want to insult people instead of listening to them, so my part in this discussion is over.

It’s okay there, buddy. You’ll grow up one day and realize you could have been nicer to people while also being honest. But you might wanna work on that whole “honesty” thing, cause if you think you’ve made a rational diagnosis from a few words on a forum, you are seriously lying to yourself. Maybe you’ll grow into that realization, too!
