No way to disable Print Screen saving to the Diablo 4 Folder in program files

I changed the print screen ingame because it interfers with my screenshot program the key is Alt + Print Screen but it still saves a screenshot to the program files folder, I’m not sure how to disable it.

The screenshots just take up space whenever I take my own screenshots I’d just like to turn them off permanently.

No way that I know of, but you could change the key binding in-game? That might allow you to remove the option that way, or at least move it.

This sounds like a different issue than the Windows 11 snip tool that pops up at the same time. You can hit esc to cancel that and get the normal shot saved, but if you are using a 3rd party tool, then you need to either setup a custom shortcut for it, or change the in-game one.

*shrug

I changed the key to Alt + Printscreen, pressing Print Screen still saves a screenshot to the Diablo 4 Folder but not the Documents Diablo Folder.

Set the program you don’t want to be capturing a picture to use a key that you won’t be pressing, or change the program you want to use to use a completely different key. Just adding the Alt is still letting you press Printscreen. <---- Either that key needs to change, or the game needs to have its screen shot binding removed or put on a different key completely.

If the in-game screenshot and your 3rd party program are both interacting with the same key (regardless of secondary keys) then they will both activate.

Print Screen used to save 2 screenshots when you press it, setting the ingame option changes one of those screenshots. I have said this 3 times so far.

Then use a DIFFERENT key… Don’t assign your 3rd party the printscreen key.

This isn’t difficult.

I just need to know how to change the second screenshot.

Well, as I said.

If you can change it in-game with its own bindings, that’s one way.

BUT.

If that doesn’t work. Change the OTHER one to something else.

I am going by this statement here:

So.

You either need to rebind the in-game shortcut (if there is a rebind option) or move the external 3rd party one to a different key completely. That’s it.
