For sure you’re right, I really don’t get how some people can say controller is bad. Though I assume they didn’t use it in the beta.
The auto-aim is worlds better than what other ARPGs have, due to really snappy targeting and very fast missiles. Especially in situations with a lower number of targets, controller could be the very best option. But it’s also great due to its movement, which is similar to WASD, if not better. I know of people even using a controller with mouse in certain games to get more fluid movement. A couple people in Mordhau swore by it. If D4 is already balanced for controller, that means it’s ready for WASD as well, no further balancing would be needed.

You are comparing WASD having literally 2 fingers primed to immediately press either direction while on a L3 (a joystick) you are commiting to a direction and if wanting to go to the other direction you have to go through neutral and then commit the other way.
Why don’t you guys properly research into this, it’s not hard.
The controller isn’t bad it just isn’t as effective as mouse + keyboard. WASD is vastly superior to both. That is why WASD should never be implemented.
you do realize Zooka and Bodach don’t apply logic right?
They geniunely believe you can beat a seasoned keyboard and mouse player with a controller, these guys are either delusional or they don’t go any higher than the normal difficulty setting!

I use reWASD to use my XBOX Elite Series 2 controller to map every key I need to it for Diablo 3 and it doesn’t even support a controller and it’s a better experience to me than using a keyboard and mouse. Of course I won’t need to use it for mapping since D4 has controller support. IDK I guess a controller isn’t for everyone, I mean D3 did get some getting used to using a controller for a little bit but now I love it.
Yes, but they must be shutdown over and over. We don’t want Blizzard to read these threads and sympathize with them just because they spam their invalid viewpoints.
Thanks for exposing yourself. Report has been sent to Blizzard for use of 3rd party devices.
You might want to familiarize yourself with the ToS.
I’m not even concerned about this issue staying inobvious for long. By the time PVP is out, it will become apparent to everybody that controllers blow m/k players out of the water with no chance. Perfect efficiency in stutter stepping and kiting will do that. It’s inevitable. That’s when we’ll get the actual fix. This forum will be littered with threads about it.
This is just a window of opportunity for the developers to get ahead of it.
For using a controller I need to view the ToS, no I don’t think so.
If the controller isn’t supported then it is against the ToS. Have fun
You don’t know what stutter stepping is if you think controller is good at it.
LOL I’m sorry but I can play the game with any device I want and it won’t break the ToS.
Sutter stepping is the process of moving in between auto attacks, or CDs. Generally this is used to kite, but not always. Since a controller will turn target and shoot automatically upon a cool down resetting, without having to move a mouse back and forth, it does this perfectly.
Mouse and keyboard players actually have to manually press the skill when it’s ready, and retarget after also targeting a new place to move. No computer automation to assist them with all that.
Yeah it is! If I find that the keyboard is a hindrance or a handicap I certainly am entitled to use a device that aids me into playing their game.
The ToS doesn’t agree with your assessment.
Well, let them come stop me then.
