No Trading = Dead Game

Not sure about the current WoW since I haven’t played in a while. I’m talking about Vanilla, TBC and Wrath, which was a while ago, but was fairly great. So even then, that still wouldn’t show it’s bad in an MMO.

No. That’s actually not all it does. Not only isn’t it “all” it does, but in fact, it doesn’t even do necessarily any of those things at all. And it sure as hell isn’t “all” it does. Even if it did those things or not.

Actually trading has nothing to do with every players stash getting loaded and no rebalancing of droprates can save this sorry excuse for an itemization system. It just show the incompetence of the dev team and shows that they have no idea of the core mechanics and foundations that made their predecessors great

Vanilla was famous for bots, RMT, and gold farmers, it was such a huge problem that there were illegal gold mining companies running in china.

Trading isn’t a feature that made the previous diablos great, it often made them into crude jokes.

Oh look another one of these posts. Seems to be a lot of players in town playing the game.

Guess its not dead.

One of the BASES of the MMO is trade, as with ALL successful ARPGs, trade is part of HUMANITY and creates a sense of a living community. It is incalculably IMBECILITY for you to defend incompetent devs with the excuse of balancing. are the items in the game? can they be caught? So what’s the difference between dropping or exchanging them?? how can this “unbalance” a game that is BASICALLY singleplay PVE??
I honestly begin to doubt that people like that are real. It looks like someone from the team itself is doing damage control. the ONLY reason the game is not traded is:
1 - this costs development time and resources.
2 - This game is an empty shell and the FASTER players reach the ENDGAME, the more they will realize that the game has NOTHING to offer, and therefore the WORSE the acquisition of equipment the better.
PoE 1 at the end of its league already has better numbers than D4. this game is dying, a slow and painful death just like D3 where they copied everything that was a failure.

This is insanely wrong, try again.

And yet a game like PoE has none of these problems. The only reason its a problem in blizzard games is they are too lazy and incompetent to manage the task. Either that or they dont want to spend resources managing their procucts

Thank god there is no trading legendary and up.

POE has a massive bot problem. In fact, it has all the problems I mentioned.

tell me A successful ARPG or MMO that doesn’t have a healthy trade in its origin.

They are crap anyway. By the time u get to world tier 4 u have multiple copies of each anyway. Bs itemization all the way

There is no such thing as “healthy trade.” So your question is already incorrect.

Yeah. There is that.

U obviously never played PoE. Very few bots and they get banned pretty fast since GGG actually do spend time managing their product.

Yeah, there were bots and RMT, but there’s also bots and RMT in D4 and there is no trading. There’s pretty much always RMT and bots. Doesn’t have anything to do whether trading is good or bad. It’s a separate issue.

Trading was still great in Vanilla, TBC and Wrath despite this. Otherwise you would have to say D4 is crap as well since there is RMT and bots.

Trading was DEFINETELY something that made D2 great. By a lot.

see, thats a poor attitude, i dont play solo games, i play groups and trade, and i support SSF modes for people that want to play this game solo, because while i will never play it that way, everyone deserves a piece of the pie, and its really a big enough pie to split it 4 ways.

you should consider helping people that want trading and groups into the game, because we can advocate for eachother. if we all unite behind SSF and groups/trade we can get both those things separate so we can all play a game we want to as opposed to neither of us playing a game we want to.

you know what’s more irritating, it’s not the fallacy and argumentative inability and avoidance of obvious issues. What annoys the most is that if the game has an AH enough that ABNORMAL does not buy and continue playing your game without trade. BUT as it stands what we have is a HUGE underground market of people selling even accounts. There isn’t ONE real reason to stop the trade other than to create an artificial barrier to progress, to keep players from seeing that the game has a weak ENDGAME and horrible itemization (even worse than D3)

It’s not an mmo.

Like i said earlier benefits by having trade outweighs the drawbacks and also allows for a better and more varied itemization system without punishing the player, No need for class specific drops and no artificially high droprates to compensate for the lack of trade
