1.Buy Diablo 4 on Steam
2. The steam account connected to Battle.net is a brand new account created
3. Connect settings have enabled trade chat channels
The problem is that there is no trade chat channel in the chat window. I tried to disable the trade chat channel, then restart the game and enable it again, but the problem still hasn’t been solved.
I am very certain that this is an issue related to Steam or the new Battle.net account, because my friend is not on the Steam platform and his Battle.net account has been in use for a long time. He can use the trade chat channel.

Hi, I think this is a Steam version issue - I’m also experiencing the same thing when my friend on the bnet version is fine. Also local doesn’t seem to work - my friend cannot see my local channel messages and also I am unable to whisper people who aren’t already on my friend list. I’m going to try and get a refund on steam and get the bnet version… Blizzard support basically said they can’t do anything for the steam version.
Hi bro, I got the disgusting unofficial news that Battle.net has placed restrictions on new accounts, I heard that someone bought Diablo 3 from Battle.net with a new account and the trade chat channel in Diablo IV immediately appeared, then after refunding the Diablo 3 the Diablo IV trade chat channel disappeared with it, it’s ridiculous!
I can confirm that the battle.net version works for me. I got both versions now and steam version has no trade channel and no ability to whisper but battlenet version does!
Nevermind my last post. Both my steam and battlenet versions now work! I think you’re right, Blizzard has placed some restrictions on the account. I had my battlenet account for at least 10 years but never bought a game on that platform - now that I bought something on battlenet, both my steam and battlenet versions are unlocked… it’s ridiculous like you say.
what do you mean by buying something on battlenet?
I have got the same Problem with my PS5. It is New Bettel Net Account, it’s the normal Version of Diablo4. DeInstallation Did not help. Update to Ultimate Edition, didn’t Help. How Can the Problem be fixt?

I had the game on steam and played 170 hours without trade chat. Yesterday i bought the game on battle net, same account though, and still no trade chat. This game is so disappointing, I just keep have technical issues and now im 2 versions of the game deep with no trade chat still.
here works i changing the language to usa , in my main language trade chat never works, i hate blizzard poe 2 , bye bye bug blizzard
