My Temp fix has been to disconnect my headset in game and reconnect then go into settings and it magically works, i never had this issue during beta it “Just works” ive done everything i could think of from reinstalls, updating drivers, Blizzard get ya *** into gear
I also got no sound on one of my machines, in Diablo 4: I’m using an external Behringer UMC1820 for sound - It has a whole array of outputs (and inputs). But in-game, no audio device shows up at all!
No issues with any other game or DAW like Cubase.
my sound works on and off as well…in the sound settings>game sound output> sound output device…no device shows up…funny enough…when I hit reply on this thread…my device decided to show up in game and I have sound again…for now
No idea. Blizzard isn’t prioritizing the sound errors that have existed since the the betas. Every time I start the game I need to go to my pc sound settings and disable/re-enable the sound and then in Diablo 4 I can suddenly see my devices and sound starts working again.
It really sucks not to have sound. I thought having a top of the line Alienware laptop would save me some headache.
Things I tried:
Updated audio drivers.
Disabled/enabled drivers.
Updated windows.
Enabled sound in Diablo. It detects my audio drivers.
Rebooted.
Disabled any overlays or applications that could interfere and still nothing.
Sound is fine outside of Diablo 4 and fine in other applications.
If anyone has some suggestions please let me know.
This was the case by me.
Thx for the tip
Works now.
No clue why it happend
I finally fixed mine after trying everything (thanks to a post above):
- right click sound settings on your computer
- go to volume mixer
- toggle Diablo 4 on
for some reason my Diablo 4 mixer settings were set to mute. I have no idea how that happened and that’s never happened to any game before. I guess something with D4 was auto turning it off
Yeah, I have seen this happen to a few people as well. Simple fix but not sure what’s making it mute in the first place.
May not apply to all cases - but is a confirmed fix for some
(TL;DR: Uninstall “Asus Sonic Studio”)
I am also having this problem. The only game that doesn’t have sound is Diablo IV. I reinstalled Battle.net and Diablo IV multiple times, and the problem does not go away. This is bull#@%$. I did not pay $70 for this.
That fixed it. Thanks!
This problem started for me immediately following the patch 1.0.4 update. All audio devices work perfectly fine in all other applications. The problem is that only the ASUS ROG motherboard device stopped working and only in Diablo 4.
The fix for me: Uninstall Sonic Studio (as mentioned above, thanks!)
I did try playing with Sonic Studio settings and many other tweaks, but uninstalling it was the only thing that worked.
Hi, I would just like to thank you. It suddenly stopped working, and I did almost everything until I find your solution.
Just had the same problem, thank you
