When I started playing D4 and saw the amount of things the game lost compared to the previous ones (set items, hundreds of unique items, bosses to farm, runes, crafting…) I was afraid that the dev team don’t played the previous ones or simply didn’t know what Diablo is about.
The video of devs who don’t know how to play the game… Now this season about VAMPIRES…All my fears were confirmed.
The game need a REVOLUTION like that in D3 who overhauled the game. D3 started off bad but it wasn’t as bad as this one.
This dev team is lost.
It wasn’t “as bad”, it was dramatically worse.
D3 was quasi-unplayable garbage. D4 is a good game and it just has some problems post-75.
they are half a year away possible more.
Haha, that is some good sarcasm, you almost had me fooled.
I don’t think you ever played d3 on release.
LOL, but he is right though. D3 launch was abysmal, you literally had to wait 8-10 hours while they sorted out the Error 37 issue. Then on top once that was resolved there was a queue and then you had the risk of just random DC’s and only to wait in the queue again. Plagued by the Real Money Auction House. Diablo 3 became the #1 Auction House Simulator.
Inferno was literally unbeatable by melee, and you had to either play a Wizard or Play Demon Hunter and spam smoke screen.
Wouldn’t know, I played single player and got through the main campaign with a couple characters.
On the other hand I can’t even be bothered to finish D4 with a single character.
You had to be connected to the battle.net servers to even play D3 because of the DRM policy… So if you were at launch you would of seen the launch, but that just leads me to believe you started d3 once RoS came out and probably on console.
No. I play it on release, buy it on pre sale. And yes, it was a mess.
This is my point, D4 need a RoS to be good.
Haha no. 20ish chars.
You’re 10 years older IRL. Statistically speaking you’re probably overweight, low on energy, and working a job that leaves you beaten down. You’ve changed as a person - that’s not the game’s fault.
Id estimate 1.5-2years. Possibly only after Addon release.
Nope, if I remember correctly, exploding palm monk was the first class to beat inferno. All because exploding palm had % damage instead of flat one.
edit: correction : Originally, this skill was dealing damage equal to 50% of the victim’s maximum with on-death explosion. There was no limit on how great this damage could be
Nope that was not the case at all. Mobs in Act 2 Inferno was literally hitting melee characters for 1.2 billion damage that is even going full defensive…
First hard core clear was a Barb and Wizard, 4 man was 4 demon hunters and they were the first to actually beat inferno originally.
I laughed very hard at this. Thank you for the good chuckle this morning.
Google “Diablo 4 development hell” and read the Esquire article. It’s a good summation of everything that went on behind the scenes, though they try to put a bit of a positive spin on it. PC Gamer and Washington Post also have good, if older articles about it.
D3 was a dumpster fire. You clearly didnt play it at launch. D3’s “revolution” was to turn an aarpg into an arcade game with participation throphies and remove a loot hunt/leveling journy all together. Tho to be fair, D3 starts at max level, D4 doesnt.
Lets not forget the power creep with bait and switch sets each season.
D4 is fun, needs to figure out things in some areas but it definitely was no designed in the same lens of the entitled.
Lets hope they dont cave and turn this into D3.
A log in Issue due to Millions of players trying to log i’snt a game issue. No game company on the planet would have the servers to support MILLIONS of players login in, I logged in at 11.57 on launch night and played for 4 hours with no issues. Then there was a restart, once the game was up again i got back in with zero issues. sorry you had some.
Also My Barb ( Sword & Board ) was soloing Inferno within 4 days of the game coming out. Inferno was overtuned and yes act 2 bees was insane, but here the thing. With the right gear and awareness it was doable. I had 1 of every class beat the game in inferno.
Congrats! you the lucky one who made it past the error 37! as a VERY few did. D3 had WAY more game issues if you fail to see that then idk what to tell you
Also again congrats on the inferno. But the truth was if you were there and seen the forums it was a major complaint and they had to tune inferno so that it was actually doable with the remaining classes.
yea prob and expantion for sure , but This game could print money if they har prio on endgame, but they wont i dont tink they have the know how . thats the only way i can explain the flat and extremly boring endgame.
