No option for turning off high quality textures for download?

In both the beta and server slam, there was an option to not download ultra-high quality textures, which cut the download size down to about 45 GB.

I can’t find this option for pre-installing the full game. Was the option removed, or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Am I now required to download the full ultra 4k textures even though I don’t want to and have limited bandwidth from my ISP?

It comes up for me. Clicked big pre install button down the bottom left in battle.net program, first screen that comes up lets you choose the install location, select auto update option, default language and desktop shortcut. Clicked continue down the bottom right, next screen has the option to select install content, the second tickbox is for the high res texture pack and it lets me untick it.

I got a pop-up with a checkbox I could disable if I wanted to skip the higher textures.

Ah. On the second screen. I stopped at the first screen when I didn’t see it.

Feeling kind of silly now. Thanks all

No biggie. They actually changed how that works with this new version of Battlenet. You used to have to go to the little gear icon to make the change.

This is more in your face, so better.

But FYI, if you want to make that change after installing it, you can then use the gear.

Okay … so … I am not a Tech person by any stretch … but what you are saying is … even if I downloaded the entire package (higher GB version) … I can still choose lower graphic settings upon launching the game?

No, before you launch. There will be a gear cog next to the play button. Under there you can modify the installation.
