I’m level 100, after 1.10 patched today the item gear drop level is fix to level 80. Has anyone encountered this?
Read patch notes 20 char
yes, sacred gear can only drop up to level 60 (requirement) and ancestral gears maximum level requirement is 80 now. this was in the patch notes
Yup. They realized that players were enjoying their game, so they had to remove fun from it. In all seriousness, this patch has been a total joke and demonstrated Blizzard has no clue what they are doing with this game.
*** The level requirement for Sacred Items will now cap at level 60.**
*** The level requirement for Ancestral Items will now cap at level 80.**
I know…reading can be a chore.
Here’s a friendly link too:
This was one of the few very positive aspects of the patch.
agreed blizzard is a fail company
If you are level 100, what’s the point of farming in the open world when it only drops level 80 only.
the plan now is to stop at lvl 80 and make a new character 5x lvl 80 for season 1
Level on gear is irrelevant to power of the item. You could have gotten your 800+ gear at lvl 60 before and still can. This change was made to help gear your alts.
Level requirement never did anything for your items anyway. It doesn’t increase their power in any way, item power increases their power. Level requirement doesn’t even increase the chance of finding higher item power, so you aren’t getting worse items just because you aren’t finding level 100 equipment.
Having a lower level requirement means that if you make another eternal character you can use stashed away sooner, it also means you’re more likely to be able to sell good rare items to other players considering lower level people still pushing content likely with a significant lack of BiS gear will be able to use it sooner.
Fun is not being able to share gear with lower lvl friends?
You dum?
I totally disagree with the level 100 gear. If you have a level 100 gear and 820 Item Power, the stats is much higher compared to the stat of a level 80 gear with 800 item power.

Just as likely, if you have level 80 gear with 820 item power, it has more power than level 100 gear with 800 item power.
Or if you have level 80 gear with 820 item power it has the same power as level 100 gear with 820 item power.
Item level requirements has never affected item power.
This is a damn great change

Why after all this time are there people who don’t understand the difference between the level of the item and item level?
You just repeat what I’ve said, we are just going back in circles.
You’re going in circles because you’re failing to understand. Item lvl is the power of the item. Level requirement is the level you have to be to use the item. The two have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Dropping the lvl requirement to 80 simply makes it so you can find items for lower level alt characters. It has absolutely nothing to do with the power of the items you are finding.
Bruh, level requirement has nothing to do with Item Power in WT3-4. You can get Ancestral gear with level requirement 56 and it could be max rolled stats the game have to offer. How do you not already know this at level100?
Level 100 items has much better stats compared to level 80.
I don’t believe all of you who said that item level is irrelevant. Item Level and Item Power goes together, because it has better item stats. And if you don’t understand what’s an item stats, you are wasting other people’s time here.
Hahahaha, bruh. How about you learn how the game work for starters?
