When using in game chat you can use the on screen keyboard with controller.
You can use the Xbox phone app remote keyboard and type.
But unlike every other text box on Xbox in game or console, a USB attached keyboard won’t send text to the input

Agreed, they maybe have allowed controller use for all platforms but they have overlook keyboard option for all platforms for communication, even an option for keyboard and mouse for consoles would be a great options as well. Major over sight.

Yeah cross play without keyboard communication is a serious oversight and consoles natively support this.

Yep. Not just for chat… Who here likes doing inventory maintenance with a controller? ROFL
I play on PS5. My PS5 recognizes mouse and keybaord, but the game does NOT allow usage. xD

Yeah that’s the truth but they aren’t even offering inventory management period really. Auto sort is a joke. Especially when storing legendary items and needing to look for aspects. We need to be able to use keyboards for chatting. Typing. Searching. Even shortcuts. And the mouse or even hold a button and move items for inventory.
Quality of life is just as bad as the bugs.
Could you -please let me know when a Diablo game had QoL feats ever? I don’t remember such a thing. Do you? How is D4 different and why the expectations?
So… You just want to be ok with accepting no quality of life improvement and that feels good to you? Seems like you have low expectations the whole point is we should be putting higher expectations on development especially for a live service game.

Then you know Diablo games never really had a robust end game and QoL. Why the expectations here then? Because it is a new game? They will bring stuff with expansions and with seasons. They have a good base game. That’s the thing nobody understands and instead of being pissed off and aiding the backlash, people could actually start voicing out, so things get in the direction they want for the money they paid. I think this is how it was always done, but this time they are more open and listening than before.
