No its impossible… (tempering)

Today I have bricked 1 3GA item(totally bricked by 2 useless affixes) and 2 2GA items….

Its already extremely difficult to find 3GA with preferred rolls, and then 5 times in a row useless affix….

BLIZZARD THIS IS NOT FUN!!!

Thats RNG. Its easier now to get a 5/5.

May the RNG gods be in your favor. Its not bricked just not optimal so you have an opportunity for an upgrade.

I already feel that these rivers of tears on the forums will lead to the fact that the only interesting mechanic will be removed from d4

Maybe however OP has complained about:

  1. Leveling
  2. Seasons
  3. Pit
  4. Masterworking
  5. Temporing
  6. Ubers
  7. Loot
  8. RNG
  9. NMD
  10. Glyph XP

I really dont know why he plays a game he dislikes so much

This is the “fair” blizzard dishonest random system … nothing else.

No true random system at all

There has to be weights in the RND. I know I have bad luck but rolling 10 times on 2 items for 1 result… but getting the two other results on the manual… is possible, but statistically at least unlikely.

Like rolling a 3 sided dice 10 times and never rolling a “1”. Though possible… This seems to happen very often. hence there has to be a weight involved.

(Note: I do programing where I work with random numbers)

I wouldnt care about the rng of bricking if there was alittle bad luck protection. I had a item brick 3x GA all 5 rolls was damage to distant enemy on a barb… thats dumb. easy fix would be cant roll the same thing twice then we still have rng of getting good rolls or not but at least get something

Not bricked. Not optimal. Learn the difference.

you get anything then your right neuron can indicate to use the Jewels in rings and jewelry accordly… is it that hard? holy cows…

here lets do some mods to your house… well that didnt work but these walls still work just not optimal. who cares if the roof is missing

i get it some combinations may cause this effect and rng luck is needed. But when you say two affix’s are bricked i have to wonder, what and why are you picking both without one being a failsafe option, meaning it either has less possible rolls or even the worst case roll has some benefit to your build.

So take dmg one for example, i can roll dmg.dist.close. even as a barb i am not completely bricked if all i get is distant since i am dust devil and those can be ranged. So 2 out of 3 chance to get close or dmg. and worst case ranged. That said i might get close and stop tempering, rather than risk going for dmg and end up with dist since my build is focused on close melee attacks. So yes we have rng, like before. But no hidden spy in the bush tells us we must temper to the limit. So maybe you settle and when you find another suitable base item. then perhaps push it. and now you have a fail safe item.

All this and you didn’t risk nerfing your build too much with a “Bricked” affix.
It’s not rocket science. Its just a game. Play with it and enjoy it.

Can you link to the leveling complaint? I’m curious. Leveling is super fast in this game, can’t imagine someone’s complaining about it not being fast enough.

Everything else on the list has had various problems & room for improvement (as admitted to by devs), sometimes facepalm type errors that weren’t tested before release. So in general “complaints” on these topics is an indicator of an engaged community that cares about the game.

I’m much more suspicious of white knighting, especially when the arguments used are generalizations & obvious solipsism. That specific combo of traits should sit in a corner & talk to the wall. At least with “change this” type complaints, there’s a higher chance I’ll learn something, even if a lot of it is almost as solipsistic as the white knighting,

Look at OP history. Even holds the highest troll post on seasonal resets. I think it ended with 1.4k responses and OP admitting he doesnt play seasons but should have to be able to comment on things he doesnt engage with.

Then your paragon tree is terrible, if you cannot manage defenses in this simple game, then your argument is weak as your assumptions or examples, and your minimal ability to place a proper context. But yeah, my 3 million armor stacker farming t17s wont place a discussion with a sub par d4 player like you.

You can also edit more your post, do it a third it may help you to fix punctuation.

Lol, unlucky.

It’s pretty easy to find items with good GA btw. I have most of my slots filled with decent single and double GA items and have not managed to brick a single one.

Just a tip btw, don’t keep spamming one affix while tempering. Roll your first affix once and then your second affix once. From here reroll the affix that least benefits your build. Do the same on the next temper over and over until either you get what you want on both or at least something half decent on both rolls.

If you keep rolling for the same first affix over and over, you may not get exactly want you want and then you are stuck with whatever the one and only roll is on your second affix with no chance of changing it.

The current system really loves giving “Damage to Distance” over and over and over… Ugh. I mean, we have a few things that could use this damage but nearly all our damage is “Close” since we are melee. This option shouldn’t really even be in our Manual but I think they ran out of options for us and added it… now it rolls 75% of the time.

if youre going to play grammar police fix your post… I really hate trolls like this

All the arguments about tempering, I am now down to the point where my issue is with rigged rng and meaningless affix to corrupt the pool.

I am now going the superstitious route… brick some crappy items before tempering the one with GA and roll affix on a character that does not need it.

it’s not. tempering isn’t true randomness. there are weights and pity mechanics in the background.
