No issue clear the AOZ dungeon, getting one shot in the end

The issue is not getting one shot, it is the disproportional damage the blood seekers do compared to other mobs in the dungeon. The blood seeker fight is not really a fight if you only bet on shrines (condit) and better affixes. This is a bad design. If you can clear all the mobs in the dungeon, you would think you can at least take 1-2 hard hits and put up a fight in the end.

9000 artists made this game…can’t you tell its perfection…

It is pretty frustrating at the moment. Happens to me very often running 4-5 lower tiers than my solo highest push.

Seekers spawn, but key skills are on cooldown.
Try to move away from where I was so skills come up for the fight.
As I am running away one of the seekers uses poison puddle on you, instant death.

They are trying to scale mobs that already are scaled at their base level. It feels like they are multiplicatively scaled when they should be additively scaled. T10 seeker feels like it should be a T12 seeker. T12 seekers feels like it should be T15, etc. Then having our elemental resists capped at 70% just isn’t enough to mitigate the elemental damage they can produce. Curious if it would feel better if our elemental soft cap was at 85% instead of 70% like the armor soft cap.

You either save a good shrine vs bloodseekers in higher tiers or you go :skull_and_crossbones: for 99% of builds.

I’d say I’m semi-casual, I have a lvl 100 penta-dot necromancer with the following stats

attack-38,480 (220,200 when buffed)
Armor- 14270 (19570 with disobedience)
Life: 23,032
All DR- 40%
ToB: lvl 5

Resistances all at 133% including bonuses and let me tell you… I CANNOT beat tier 6 seekers. I can beat tier 5s but it’s a massive struggle as I still have to separate and fight one at a time or use shrine buffs to win. And even then I can still easily get one-shotted by hota barb seekers keep or any seeker with Ice or fire explosions Even with full fortify + barrier + bone storm

I normally fail 1-2 out of 5 so my odds aren’t all that bad but it’s so frustrating to die by getting one-shotted by random attributes of the seekers. It makes me think ā€œwhat’s the point?ā€ I already have almost all Uber and my build is already min-maxed and with all that my chance of victory is dependent on the last shrine / how wide the pathways are so that I can kite them effectively and not die

I agree they are really strong.
I can do a little higher levels with my semi-casual sorc, but need to be super careful with the seekers at the higher levels.

One thing I see in your stats: In case you can keep Disobedience up, you have armor going a way over the cap of ~13400 for max level mobs. You could try trading some armor % rolls for some life or additional DR rolls.
My sorc has base armor at 7500-8000 before Disobedience, and can still get to cap when having Disobedience at amulet.

you all are missing the entire point - Blizz does not know how to scale damage at all. There is zero reason why you should get one shotted by a boss who’s minions can be wiped out by you looking at them. The boss is hitting 100x harder than the minions is the entire point of this article, and Blizz needs to address that. The issue is NOT someone’s gear or not knowing how to play the game. You all are pure idiots for thinking that and not blaming the game developers. Furthermore, I have 70% on all resistances, and yet I still get frozen for 3-5 secs…so that means I’m dead. That should never happen as well.

im not finding an issue surviving the bloodseekers. the issue is dealing enough damage to down them. dont really see their damage as an issue.

Very casual players are not doing Tier 10 AoZ. This I know for a fact. Also, if you’re geared/paragoned up then the Peter Principle and not the Bloodseekers is what is getting you.
Anyway if you are clearing the rest of the dungeon with ā€œeaseā€ then just draw one Bloodseeker out at a time, they’re massively less of a threat that way. Shrines are fine but at that level they should be more gift than need.
