Kind of odd. I’m surprised there isn’t at least one of these. Even Diablo 3 had multiple of these methods to easily find a group (outside of PMing your friends list), Diablo 4 has none of these at all.
Will at least one group finding method be in D4 launch?
I sure hope it will be there for launch. Seems like a huge oversight to go online and add MMOish features but no grouping tools.

Group finding is supposed to take place in-world, and that’s a good change.
theres trade / local chat when it isnt broken , hopefully theres a second world chat so trade isnt filled with LFG. but most likely its gonna boil down to finding a large active guild and grouping with them all the time
Nah, it’s going to boil down to going to the quest/event you’re trying to do and then seamlessly joining the other players who are also there to do that thing, and then going your separate ways.
It’s way better and way more immersive.
yea thats true i meant for cap stone / nightmare dungeons etc where its split instance gonna have to rely on guild mostly or spam that trade that
Spamming trade chat which noone uses is so immersive yes
Spamming LFG for 10 hours because you don’t have the streamer-approved perfect ZDPS build and nobody wants to group with you is exactly what this system avoids.
You just play the game and group with the people who are doing the same things as you.
Well, so you are reliant on the 17 other people in your current server shard, hoping that all 16 of them aren’t already in premade groups
And searching for groups in Chat has the same issues as LFG tool - as you say, you need ultra minmax gear to find a group
A bit off topic but it feels like D4 is looking to be more of a single player experience, im aware you can group up for dungeons and you do group up for world boss but other than that everything can be done pretty much solo. The game doesnt really encourages players to group up and form parties to tackle down content. Maybe i just didnt see it but it would be awesome if you can share your main and side quests with friends and do them together. Whenever I tried playing together with friends somehow we just ended up doing different activities… I really hope going forward D4 provides a better multiplayer and group experience.
I think it would be cool to utilize the many bulletin boards around the towns as a way to list your group , or post looking for group / member, dungeon / activity, and so on. Like other ARPG’s do

Huh? There is no in game world method. You have to alt tab to discord or some crap.
i would welcome this. its not like we are waiting on a TANK or HEALER. just let us que up with people wanting to do the same dungeoun blizzard.
Easy-to-use in-game LFG tools are basically a requirement if they continue to advertise D4 as a game with ‘MMO’ elements.
Obviously certain groups have certain requirements when they want to push hard content. But most groups, in most games, actually don’t care about minmax, especially if they themselves also don’t have the best gear/experience
And, you know, you can also start a group yourself and lower the requirement to fit what you think is adequate
Oh noooooo this is why I quit World of Warcraft Classsic - no group / raid finder. It is sooooo irritating spamming trade and lfg as a Dps warrior to make a group - dungeons better be solo -able or they have an easy group finder or I’m gonna be playing that Epoch game instead
well, everyone is dps in d4. would NOT be sitting in que for 30 minutes waiting for a healer or tank. all dps shouldnt be hard to find.
