[Suggestion]
1.) Make nightmare dungeons grant you XP for glyphs as a currency that can be spent later.
Note: See below
2.) Add a new “world drop” item based on your highest tier of nightmare dungeon cleared. It grants you a random amount of experience from Tier 1 - Tier X where X is your highest nightmare dungeon.
Note: This way, players have more options to grind glyphs. You can either grind nightmare dungeons or rely on rare drops in the world. The item would be very rare and even when you find it, it is a value of XP from Tier 1 - Tier X so you can get unlucky and get Tier 1 XP.
Note 2: This would also provide a “rare” drop in the loot tables which is something this game needs. We need more “rare” drops that we are searching for besides equipment.
3.) Add a new leveling system past 100. You don’t level up, but rather fill an XP bar and each time the XP bar fills, you gain some Glyph XP to spend on glyphs.
Note: This will provide value for XP past 100 and another alternate way to grind glyphs.
Blizzard will not pile levels upon levels. So, #3 will never happen.
There does appear to be a XP problem with Nightmare Dungeons in general. People are using normal dungeons in order to level because of this. So, #2 might work.
No, you wont “level up”. Its just an XP bar to fill up to gain some Glyph XP and the Glyph XP would be changed so you can spend it later so you can accumulate Glyph XP in various ways, including nightmare dungeons. It would provide a value for XP at 100 but it wouldnt provide a “character level”.
EDIT: Another thing they could do is add an XP bar at 100 to fill to gain some kind of bonus chest or something. Just something to offer a value for XP gain past the level cap that isn’t an endless paragon.
They should balance classes in nm dungeons first before they make them worthwhile
That is what I am stating, people will get confused and wonder why they are not leveling up because the bar is full. Do you have any idea how many people still are confused by how Season Tiers work?
As such, Blizzard will do straight level and a paragon system. Given past behavior, we will simply get more paragon levels at some point. So, endless paragon is the future. Unless enough people simply refuse to go to WT3 and above for experience. Then, in order to avoid the mass revolt, they may add levels as they add mainline story. Still, given what I see with Diablo Immortal, it is not looking good.
