This campfire is really hard to watch.
You can see how much pain game development is when upper arms are involved in releasing this half-baked game 1-2 years too early.
This is absolutely a position no one wants to be in, other then the early execs who cashed out.

There is a concept to handle it, “paid early access”.
There you can balance your game 1-2 years, get the cash, and nobody complains over changes.

Point being is that as someone whos been a part of development, this game was rushed and to no fault of most people on the development side. This is absolutely a corporate higher up decision.

D4 was 100% not ready for release and the project was probably horribly mismanaged, you can see easily development is a dumpster fire and everything is “coming down the line”
Brother, you can be upset about the changes, the patch, and the season without getting personal about it. They screwed up your video game. They didn’t kill your mom.

I would defend virtually anyone from the behavior we have seen on these forums the last week, given what the so-called “crime” is (some nerfs).

they are not paid well enough?
they have to suffer consequence of their own decisions?
said consequence being people who paid for their product still pay them but are upset?
