D4 is my first Diablo game and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I was seeing content in D3 and I am interested in feedback on how easy it is to get into that game. I am looking to expand my Diablo library.
D3 is very easy, & I think in many ways a better game.

d3 isnt complicated at all. Its also available in the XBox PC game pass for that matter, so if you are using that and are curious, just give it a try.
it is a lot more “zoomy”, but there certainly are folks that enjoy exactly that.

But for my money, there was nothing more fun to play than a Witch Doctor with Fetishes
Speedy and powerful. I currently am having fun with death trap rogue but I also like the spiritborn and barb.
Demon hunter with Vault and Evasive Fire is a great way to start leveling, then

There’s a lot of super fast builds for each class in D3, really depends on what you want.
Spiritborn plays similarly to the monk, but I’d say the monk is a bit more versatile. Barb is Barb, regardless of what game its in pretty much.

I like firebird sorc myself. Double-wide disintegrate and fire electrocute lets you two-tap most enemies so the game becomes about dancing around with movement and teleport trying not to get hit. You can stack elite damage with gems, furnace, aughilds, etc. It brings a tad of the positioning that was important in D1 back into the series, at least until you’ve augmented enough intelligence to be almost invulnerable.

2 easiest to get into and are powerful with mediocre gear are the Aegis of Valor Fist of the Heavens steed Crusader and the Gears of Dreadlands Hungering Arrow Demon Hunter. DH being the easier of the two although it tends to hit a wall pretty quickly in terms of GR pushing.

Demon Hunter, Barbarian, & Necro are all fun & effective D3 classes.
I liked the witch doctor the most. Best mix of offense and defense for me.
Fast and funny.

D3 is exceptionally easy to pick up. There is no real progression and once you get your free season set everything is a oneshot outside of high level pits.
There are similar things but D4 does have more progression and an endgame however, in D4 you get to a point where the only thing worth doing is Pit for xp. Similar to D3 but once you get your RoRG you are just doing linear rifts/GR.
D3 is a good seasonal weekend game if your just looking for an arcade game.

I guess that’s why I never set foot in a GR. Because clearly there’s nothing else in D3 to do.
It’s fun but honestly d2 is still the goat and I would definitely recommend that game first

Minus the Speedy part. D2 is Goat, but starting is painfully slow. The fun builds are dependent of rare Rune words. I get that they are cheap in Real Money, but I find a Ber rune every 6 years lol. Too many builds “need” an Enigma. Love the new immunity break GCs though and the Terror zones. I play because of those.

I wouldn’t call it need. But yeah, runes are rare. 1 Ber rune in 20 years or since the introduction of runes in LoD. Never a Valor or this Necro wand I always wanted. But nevertheless funny times.

My all time favorite D2 was always the Summoner Necro. But without Enigma it was very hard to control the army. The Durance and other heavy door structured areas sucked unless you could tele through the door and run back to cower behind your army.
Ok, so I’m Level 35 and in Act 3 of the story. I’m a Demon Hunter. I love this game. lol. I was looking for something to catch my attention so I could take a season off D4 and I think this is it. Thanks to all who replied.
