New Weapon Damage Stat testing

I’ve been doing some testing with the new weapon damage stat and I found out a few things.

  1. If your skill using your weapon to do damage the weapon damage stat is bis Weapon damages > Primary Stat > instead stat > instead stat
  2. If your skill doesn’t use your weapon to calculate damage weapon stat is a dead stat and needs to be rolled off. •Example if You play a Barb and use your two-handed mace for your damage on the skill then the weapon damage on your two one-handers, your two handed sword is dead stat, and gives you no extra damage so roll it for a different stat.

More testing is for spells like Fireball apocalypse Etc to see if weapon damage affects it

Tank, great information. Thank you. So many subtleties now in the game. It’s little things like this information that can make a difference in build strength. I like the changes.

Did you ever learn anything more about this? For example I have a a lightning sorc. It seems like the weapons with a GA on weapon damage does help a lot but I can’t tell. Even in the training room, the number fly by so fast I really can’t tell if it helps much.

quick question did u test on barb?

yeah better trust macro/ava on maxroll, who actually did test all that, and turns out if ur not a barb, weapon dmg isnt the best stat, its actually 4th best
