why blizzard lol, I mean come on man why you knee jerk on nerfing the 3 supposedly god tier uniques ,
- Crown of Lucion - Helm
- Locran’s Talisman - Amulet
- Shard of Verathiel - 1 Handed Sword
Both 1 and 2 got nerfed into trash tier and will now be instant salv (i guess the helm is a good transmog) LOL. And the shard of Verathiel was nerfed by about 33% it is original dmg but still viable thank god not to trash tier.
Rob has a video out explaining these changes for those that are interested.
I agree these 3 Uniques were godly and almost every S tier build will require all 3 of these. But knee jerk nerf is generally done over the top. And this is the case where it is done over the top. went too far with the nerfs on these cool new uniques LOL.
Oh well, I guess the Crown of Lucion was on par with shako and it just needed to come down …
Fun police is at it again…

Wait… when did this happen??? Is there a new post on new uniques?
sadly, it just happened. They added in the final version of these new uniques and in the patch notes because it was originally missing.
Go check it out while I go to my little corner and cry it off…
Yep… just posted… another slap in the face… probably why they weren’t posted with main notes… I’m assuming that’s why many new aspects were also not included in the notes… still need “polishing”…

Why would they do that? Every streamers suggested to put them in the top season 5 builds.

It is so sad, I mean yes these 3 Uniques needed to be tuned down a bit because you kind of killed a lot of build diversity with these 3 godly tiered uniques. But the fun police brought these 3 uniques and sentenced it to death LOL. Instead of a maybe 2 month jail time.
Yes, they did suggest that. But it was for the original versions of these items. LOL. And is also why the fun police got to them.
I couldn’t begin to imagine sitting there watching someone play Diablo on twitch/youtube. I’ve done some degenerate things in my life, but that would be scraping the bottom of the barrel.
When you can’t even enjoy or play a video game without needing to rely on some jobless nerd to tell you how to do it, I can’t imagine the level of self sufficiency you must have in your real life

that is one way to view the streamers, I won’t argue with you on that it is your personal view point and it is valid to how you see it.
But I think streamers provide good information to people that likes to learn by watching videos, or enjoys watching videos rather than self reading bunch of plain notes , or by self experimenting.
I have nothing against streamers or D4 partners rather, they provide build guide and theorycraft knowledge and they are usually very transparent about it.

I know certain streamers are gonna be mad about this. All their ‘hard work’ put into theory crafting, right down the drain. Wait the tiers lists are gonna be out of whack too, oh no! Wont’ some one think of the streamers?!

You’re arguing with people on a video game forum
Maxroll has not updated the tier list yet for S5. I checked D4 builds and Moby neither of them have rolled out the new build guides and tier list yet either.
They all might be working over time now trying to change everything up due to these nerfs which is really impactful.

I’ve nothing against guides, or tier lists, or anything else, but I take them with a grain of salt. I’ve used them myself, just to see what’s popular and what people have figured out, but hardly any site that has guides ever updates them once the season has come out. They treat their own information like a red headed step child, they feed it once, then leave it in the corner to fend for itself.

Is that really the experience you had with them ? Truthfully, I had different experience. I notice maxroll updated the guide multiple times throughout the season, and things like paragon board changes, and skill change, even temper changed from what it was initially posted at the start of every season.
FOr D4 build, Rob is mainly the guy I am not sure if he updates it as season progress. But Moby for sure always update because the build creator often goes in and just updates it as the season progress.
Oh I definitely don’t have anything personally against them. At the end of the day if they can make a career out of playing a video game while having their lives funded by people donating to them, more power to them, the ones donating are the idiots.
I know sponsors and ads play a big part in their income but it’s bizarre that anyone going to a 9-5 full time job would be willing to donate money to some guy playing a video game all day long.
The only real thing I’d say I have against streamers is that gaming as a whole has definitely suffered in terms of games communities. Everyone tries to replicate what these people who do this as a full time job do and look at it as if they aren’t doing that, or keeping up, they are failing. Therefor a lot of people don’t play games for the sake of having fun anymore it’s a sake of purely competition and fomo.
When this happens, game devs have to worry more about the balancing and numbers aspect of the game as opposed to developing for fun, because everyone is in such a competitive mindset as opposed to making games to be fun. It’s spiralled into basically every game out there now where devs cater to the competitive side of games and it’s not sustainable for your average player that doesn’t do content creation for a living.
Back when d1 or d2 were out there was no info, you had to figure builds out and try things for yourself which made making a new character that much more fun, balancing didn’t matter nearly as much cause you weren’t competing against anything other than yourself trying to make a better build. Now it’s all laid out for you before you even load up the game what your build and gear is going to be. Pretty much siphons the fun out of gaming at that point

Agreed with what you said.
Finally, the balancing we asked for!
This is not bad at all, as it opens up space for other unique items. I am glad it happened before the release of the new season.

As soon as these items hit the PTR we knew they would be nerfed.
