So I have just completed both campaigns and sit at level 60 in my seasonal character. I have a bunch of “purple” quests Im trying to slog thru and turned up the difficulty to expert yet Im still getting level 750 gear. How to I get better gear to progress to higher difficulties? Maybe Im not doing this correctly??
Lv 800 gear (the highest) doesn’t drop until Torment 1.
You don’t get, and shouldn’t require Ancestral (lv 800) gear until well beyond Torment 1. To unlock it, you’ll need to visit Cerrigar and complete a Pit level 20. I think 20 is unlocked by default immediately, so if you think you are ready - have a go at it!
If you want help, post what class you are playing and what kind of skills and build you are using.
750 gear is the hard cap until you reach Difficulty Torment 1, which has a chance to drop 800 Ancestral gear, which has varying degrees of Greater Affixes. In order to be able to change the difficulty to Torment 1 you need to do Pit Tier 20.
The Pits are found in Cerrigar, large obelisk slightly north of the main waypoint in town. You’ll need Stygian Stones to enter, which can be found in Helltides, Infernal Hordes, Whisper Caches, etc. You may very well have some already, they sit in your materials tab (they aren’t an actual item in your inventory).
You may also need to be on Penitent Difficulty to access the Pits but I’m not entirely sure that’s for case.
I stand corrected, you only need to be level 60 to access the Pits.
Hey Iggi! You try those Diablo Espresso Ribs™, yet?
Would need to purchase some ribs first, although this weekend is a Costco weekend for us. We’ll see.
Just need to be 60 for it to unlock.
Avoid the salmon, I heard they did a recall on it at Costco due to Listeria.
I’m doing a turkey tonight. Butterball makes these small (2-3 lb) “turkey loaf” roaster guys. They have bone in, or boneless. I get the boneless with a mix of breast and dark/rib meat. About $10 and feeds 3-5, which is a nice size. Cooks up in about 2 hours, which is also nice. No need to stuff it (it’s not hollow anyways). I’ve done a few flavors, like Italian, Cajun, BBQ, and even a buffalo (buffalo didn’t turn out, the ratio of meat to sauce doesn’t cook right). Buffalo might work if you shred it after cooking to make a sort of “pulled turkey” type amalgamation… ohh! New idea! Might try that for the Super Bowl.
I started experimenting with them in 2023 Thanksgiving, and have been buying them on the regular since.
Hey Beemer - feel free to add me if you want some levels or whatever, but I don’t really play all the much, and usually on at odd times.

Was actually thinking of Salmon too, good to know, thank you. Also I’m sorry I just realized you posted the same information before I did. I was caught up in writing it on my phone I didn’t even notice, my bad.
