New season is trash here is why

It seems to have enough RNG. There actually a chase and exciting things when you win the roll.

No, you just need more then 1 pc of gear. Its easier then before getting a 5/5

No, there is a progression system. Short but it feels good.

Iggi, they would just complain about gold cost or mat drops to do it. It never ends

I did. I still stand by my comment.

Too much RNG in a Diablo game lol thanks for making my day

Indeed.

Honestly, when people complain about gold, it means that the other materials are too easy to get.

…

It is sad, because it is true.

RNG: Although I agree with you on the RNG part, it should be said that you don’t need all that shazam to do high level Pits. Unless we’re talking about 120 with no holy bolts elixir.

I see it like this. They removed the RNG from not getting the drops we wanted by having inflated amounts of stats on them. So it took us awhile to get the right item. When we did, we knew it was a great item. That item could technically be used for other builds and other classes sometimes.

While now, we have less RNG on the item drops (not counting the GA), but the tempering is a casino’s wet dream. It’s giving me that all-alluring gatcha gamble taste in my mouth. And the best part? If the gambling doesn’t turn out in your favor, bye bye item. And if it does? That item is extremely specialized to your current class and build.

I think tempering has been a step in the right direction, but there is a lot of improvements to be made for sure.

Tempering: I already went over that in the section above and I agree. You specialize items to only one build and I don’t think it’s a great system.

Gems aren’t too bad. It’s really bad at the start, but once you’re 100 and grind a few NMDs and Helltides, you’ll have enough gems to kit yourself out no problem. I think the issue seems to be that before a certain enemy level, the gem shards seems to be in the amount of about 50. At 100+ or so enemies, the gem shard stacks are 225-228 or something. Which reduces the grind by a lot.

I also bought my first 5 Topaz’s. Because I thought to myself “I will NEVER be able to craft these”. So some guy on the trading website sold me 5 and I crafted one for my Bash Barb. Since then I haven’t really had much issues getting my Rubies and other stuff going.

Thinking of this, I am curious if this was part of Blizzards “players can trade with each other, uniques and legendaries”-strategy. So I needed Topaz’s, so I bought them. I won’t need another type of gem, so I would sell them to another player who needs them. Or straight up trade them for a 1:1 ratio? I don’t know, but I personally don’t want to be reliant on having to trade with other people to play the game. I think they could maybe up the gem drops a little bit for the lower levels and keep it the same for max level content.

To be fair the gold sink in this game is worse then season one now, the bricking I can deal with but farming gold is so slow and boring at least I can do helltides for gear

Honestly what they need to do, and this would make them a lot of money, is make D4: Light. Where you can just a build a character, set a level, build your own gear to whatever specifications you want, whenever you want, and just play the game to your hearts content.

Charge 80 bucks, and people would flock to it, play it all of 1 week per season, then be done with the game for the rest of the 3 months. As long as they’re happy everyone wins.

Normal D4 can stay the same, and actually have a vision and some challenge though.

? The only challenge in the game atm is rng, who can find the best gear to stack hp

Gold is another problem I forgot to mention in the OP yes. Whispers don’t give enough, selling items still is the best choice but the gold required for high level stuff is just bonkers. 50 mil to craft an uber and million for a gem, 800k for a aspect print on a 2 hander. These are stupid numbers.

I think this is the most “Blizzard” season of all but people didn’t realize early on because they managed to sugar-coat it well.

agree with too much RNG, but calling it trash? no, probably best season compare to S2 and S3.

You could do that on Eternal Iggi, the graveyard.

Agreed the game is actually good now I’ll give it that, I’m enjoying this season after quiting when s1 was awful

Clearly rng has been the bane of Diablo games for 30 years

I think season 2 was much better, vampiric powers were great, AOZ was decent enough for an end game content. We got Duriel where you could get the ubers, etc.
Season 3 was also trash because it was just season 2 replaced with a much worse theme.

Season 4 is ok, I am enjoying making new builds and trying them. I can do tier 61 for mats good enough for me.

Yes but they want the benefit of seasons too. Gotta pile it all into one new brand new game.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve seen this trend in other games too. Players just basically wanting rewards for practically doing nothing but just casually playing for a few hours a week.

I wish I was 20 years younger with my only problem being finding an item in a video game. At some point we have to grow up and realize we can’t spend nearly as much time on a video game like we used to.

D3 and Wow players not to point fingers but i think so. Im semi retire 63 in a few months. I wish i was 40yrs younger lol.

No item value is pegged to RMT value. One billion gold is 3 bucks. So items worth 20-something dollars will cost around 7 billion. The RMT farms will have someone dedicated to buying items for both their Unique shops and flipping to make gold for the gold shop. Very few farms bot in these games anymore because playing the market is far more lucrative.

D4 is trash here is why.

Diablo 4’s release left me with a sense of disappointment, primarily due to its failure to innovate and evolve the franchise in meaningful ways. While fans eagerly anticipated a fresh take on the beloved series, the game seemed to rehash familiar mechanics without adding substantial depth or innovation. The storyline felt predictable and lacked the narrative depth that could have engaged players on a deeper level. Additionally, the gameplay mechanics felt stale, failing to offer the same level of excitement and challenge that D2 has with elemental resists and synergies. Overall, Diablo 4 seemed to play it safe, they stuck to the features of their competitors at the time that did not resonate with many of the older Diablo fans. Then, they did not add features that Diablo players have been wanting for years. Lobbies, a place to trade, a place to meet others for groups, chat in general. Then they left out very important things like mercenaries, cows, fun and then Diablo himself.

Moreover, the game’s technical aspects fell short of expectations, with bugs, glitches, and performance issues plaguing the experience. These issues not only detracted from the immersion but also hindered the overall enjoyment of the game. Furthermore, the long development cycle and delays only served to heighten anticipation, making the underwhelming final product all the more disappointing. In essence, Diablo 4 lacked the innovation, depth, and polish needed to truly captivate players and live up to the legacy of its predecessors.

Add in the constant nerfs, mtx crowd, bad balance, indestructible classes, poor customer service, dumb social contract, fat druid, terrible world scaling and horrible community, then you quite possible have the most disappointing game in history.

Yeah, wondering about this myself. Not to mention you basically have to socket every item now.
