New player need some tips

Hello, as the title suggest im a very new player to the diablo. So far im enjoying the game very much. I realy dont get the hate that it gets -yet.
Story was amazing visuals and sound is also well done. Theres always something to do.

But praising the game realy wasnt my goal with this post. Im realy new to the arpg genre and diablo in general. I have some questions for seasones veterans that i was curious about

So first of all. I wonder where i can get more of the purple crystals for mythic gear crafting. Currently im at paragon 200 in t3 and only one ive seen drop was from first kill of echo of lilith.

Second question is about the items. How do ppl get or craft the 3-4 star ancestral items? In my playtime ive only seen 1-2 items with two stars max i realy dont know where to get them. Its only a t4 thing?

Next question is about seasons. So currently the witch season is ending as ive understood. So is there a point to push their rep to max? I mean it looks like an insane grind for the time we got left. Im not sure about my rank but im like 3-4 ranks after their final quest.
When the season end what does that mean for me? My character have an “seasonal” sticker to it. Does that mean when season end it will get wiped out? If not …what about the witch stuff…the gems powers etc that will be just erased? With new season will the item power get higher?
Please some clarification would be awesome. Im a wow player so if that helps to put some perpective or similarities between these two games and their seasons.

Thank you all for tips. Have a blast boys

Hi OP, welcome to the forums.

First, you earn purple crystals by completing the seasonal journey.

Second, “you get 2 and 3 star items” which we call GA (Greater Affix) items by playing the game and hope the RPG gods are good to you and you get lucky with drops, opening chesss, killing bosses, helltides, etc.

Third, that’s a personal preference. I would sugget you play the game and learn so you are ready for the next season in a few weeks.

Try this website that is great for infrormation. https://maxroll.gg/d4

Is that accurate?

Pretty sure the answer is “you get one for killing Lilith, one for finishing the seasonal rep grind, and one for every Mythic you salvage.” I may be missing another source.

you also get one from the seasonal journey =)

it means your chocolate ice cream becomes vanilla ice cream.
your seasonal character and stash will be migrated to the eternal realm.
witch power tab will disappear, and power gems will be erased, leaving empty sockets.
the highest item power is still 800 for both realms.

One Resplendent Spark from killing Lilith
One from completing the Seasonal journey
One from grinding the season reputation theme (repeatable on additional heroes)
One from salvaging Mythics.

Your seasonal hero gets transferred to the Eternal server at seasons end. You keep all items, gold, resources, paragon exp. pool (not paragon levels in and of themselves) etc., except for the season specific items and powers - the witch powers and gems will be gone. Start of next season you create a new seasonal hero and start the whole thing again from scratch, with the new season themes.

If you have finished the world reknown system, i.e. the +1 skill points, you start with those additional skill points, so that’s a bonus at the beginning.

So basicaly if im not sure if i can finish the seasonal stuff in time…for example im only at srason journey 4, because i didnt know i should focus that and the rep im somewhere in the mid…so for me its prolly pointless to bother with it and rather just finish the renowns?

Well, you still have a few days left. Depending on how much you play, and how committed you are, you should be able to complete the season journey in that time.

If not, yeah, get the reknown points to help with start of next season.

Consider S7 as a tutorial, S8 you’ll have more of an understanding of what to accomplish.

Good luck!

I realy dont mind starting over. Now i know more etc…

But one more thing…can i transfer my gold or some items between characters? Basicaly from my current one to the new seasonal one when it begins? Or its only seasonal -seasonal and eternal-eternal?

Ty for answers.

Nope, no transfer to new seasonal hero. They start at zero gold, with barely the clothes on their back. But it’s easy enough to collect.

They drop based on pure RNG. And no not only in T4 most of my 4 GA uniques have dropped in T1 or T3.

If you are on seasonal you get one for completing the season quest. The witch board get all the way throuhg and I think the last reward gives you one. Outside of that if they run an event where you get rewards from a board similar to that you can get one for completing that as well. The rest drop on a percent based chance from some of the bosses like Duriel and Andariel (I think I remember hearing 10% of the time, but it does not feel like it), but they are not guaranteed.

Your character goes to eternal. If you play there you will have an option to login and select the items from your stash you want to keep. If you don’t play there just don’t even worry about it and make a new character for S8.

Seasonal gear, mats and currency move to eternal, one way only.

Not exactly, but I tried to keep my answer short.

This is more accurate if you want to be precise.

But like I said, you have to finish the season journey in a sense to get a Resplendent spark.

Ye ive thought about it and it seems like its pointless to push rep or season journey…just to get spark and then what …look at it for two days before i start over…nah.

More likely ill finish the renown rep in nahantu and then look up for what will cary over to the new season.

Fron top of your head do you guys know what will help me in new journey, what will carry over what should i focus on? Renown skill points and then i thought about the stats from lilith statues. Do they carry over to the new season aswell or do i have to find them again? Anything else?

If you want to continue playing this season to give you a head start on next season, Reknown and Lilith Statues are a great choice. They will carry over to the next season.

Not ‘in a sense’, you do have to complete the season journey in the battlepass to get that spark. You also get one from grinding rep with the season theme reputation.

You only ever have to find the Altars of Lilith once. Ever. They carry over from now to eternity. If you want to speed it up (i.e. cheat the system) there are maps on the web showing where each one is… Up to you.
