Ophidian Iris: with devouring blaze and krit chance you put this item in a corner without any need. You make the item a “krit item”. With this steep you kick out DOT and Hybrid Fantasie Hydra huilds/player. You can open the item to all hydra fan s, easy.
Change the stat`s to: Inteligens, inner flames, primordial binding, pyrommancy attack speed.
This stats are highly usable for all hydra players (Direkt dmg, krit builds, DOT builds. So everyone can enjoy farming a good roll of the item. If the damge from passive is to much for you. Then turn it down in the aspekt of the item maybe x 90 or 80%.
Serpentine Aspect
I like the way you change the aspekt, with the mana and damage! Please re-add the 3rd Hydra! Cut some damage of the aspekt if you need too. But please give back the 3rd Hydra.
But why delete our 3rd Hydra? It is our fantasy to have them around us. You took away the most of the heads. So Who we are now? A hydra sorc with damage but without hydra armee! I diidnt care about how hight we get into the pit. but i care about the class build fantasy!

And dont forget about the hydra from the encantment. That is lost since d4 lounch. Show some love and fit her in all the stuff the one s get we cast by our selves.

Its awesome they finally made a unique geared towards Hydras… i love my hydras…
I agree with you… im also surprised they didnt make 2 diff off-hands to support each hydra play style like they did with ball lightning this season.
Would be nice to have one that spawns myltiple hydras at once and can have a max of 6 hydras or something.
The new hydra unique def needs primordial passive.
Yeah getting rid of 1 extra hydra is dissappinting. They should have increased it to 2 extra hydras (6 max) …and then also buff the hydra dmg based on how many hydras you have out as well as # of heads…
As for hydra enchantment…
i already rock it right now spawning free hydras all the time… Its awesome.
Regardless, it could work great together with the new amulet since now being that hydra takes all your mana at once…
Lets say you had around 150 mana (with enchantment mastery paragon)…
then the enchanted hydra would auto cast when you used hydra (and its 150 mana).
So if you had super fast mana gen then in theory you could quickly cast 2 hydras with each reapected auto cast enchanted hydra making 4 on the field extemely quickly.
As a note even with the “1 extra hydra aspect” you could only have a max of 5 hydras before so to have a mac of 4 now is still fine, especially if they all have the buff.
(Well hopefully the enchanted hydra has the mana spent dmg buff as well)…
Its probably better building into crit anyways since everything benefits from crit… Especially congerations…
You can build into:
Core dmg
Congeration dmg
Flame dmg
Crit dmg
(Maybe attack speed now… Not sure)
And all will affect hydras now and buff its dmg.
They use the word “Drain” on Serpentine and are also changing Axial Conduit to use this new keyword, which makes me assume that mana lost in this fashion won’t count as “spent” for the purpose of enchantments or any other mechanic that relies on mana spent (that’s how Axial Conduit works now).
That said, I don’t think you’d be missing much beyond a few stacks for Primordial Binding. The new unique and Serpentine Aspect both only apply to “cast” Hydras which means any spawned by the enchantment would get no benefits from either of them.
…Which, honestly, f*!% the enchantment system. It has no synergy with anything. They purposefully create mechanics to specifically not interact with it. If they’re having to do stuff like that every other time they give us a new unique, then they should just get rid of the stupid system already and just give us a set of passive buffs like Barbs and Druids get.

Yeah true… they sneakily put in the patch notches in fine print way at the bottom that discusses the new terminology regarding spent drain and consumed mana… basically so stuff doesnt synergize i guess…
Yeah we should have like a spell book of enchantments where we can customize skills to synergize with like 5 free aspects type thing and change elements and how skills behave.
Worry not good sir, they have done this.
So afraid of cause and effect that they killed it with nerfs and removal of all function. Only thing left with any impact is teleport and the occasional ‘stat stick’ like old firebolt or current familiar.

Yeah, I should make another post about that. I thought they said they were going to revisit it like they did with Book of the Dead for Necros in S5, but promises schmomises, there hasn’t been a peep about it in like a year.
