Agreed, feels like it doesn’t need that part where it requires hits at all, especially not being able to build up the hits while it’s active. With what else you can get in the head slot, just feels like it is outclassed on other builds.
Honestly I feel like it should just give the key passives as default, then if they want to reuiqre hits to do something, have it buff those key passives, or remove some of their limits for that time.
Always feels like Druid gets these things that COULD be good, but then are are just ok because of restrictions, synergies that could be fun and great, but don’t work because of some certain restriction.
true. there are either restrictions or you require so many aspects that your damage will be abysmal. our aspects only do this small thing and really need a rework. a rework that will never happen, because it takes time and blizzard has the whole year planned out already.
2.2.1 only adds some clueless buffs, which are worthless without any mechanical changes. They didn’t even remove the Perfect Storm restrictions!
From a trusted (for me at least) source in Discord - if you don’t have Mighty Storm (currently) Earthen Might has no effect for Storm Skills while Anima of the Forest is up.
So you also have to waste an aspect slot on top of everything else.
EDIT: Basically (obviously for some) it gives the key but not the benefit of the key. So if you want to use it for builds that would not use PS/EM anyway (so storm OP builds that would benefit from both), you also need an earth skill that can proc EM.
So I guess like Hurricane that spams earth skills?
EDIT2: In other words if you’re not doing a Nature’s Fury build the helm provides either a 70%x or a 80%x dps boost with a downtime and hoops to go through. Which may sound like a lot but we already have Lucion/Perdition that have only upsides and nearly the same boost.
those earth skills won’t get the Perfect Storm damage bonus, so basically it’s a terrible version of a regular earth skill build.
no thought has been put into implementing that helmet.
Nah what I mean is Hurricane build that uses earth skills just to proc EM. Basically earth skills for utility, not dps. Since Hurricane can benefit from PS, Ursine Strength (both dps modifiers) and EM if you proc it with something else.
But you lose Provocation at that point and it’s just going downhill from there.
EDIT: If my psyche allows me (so far my curiosity is just a little bit stronger than my desire not to touch the game), I will try to make it work with Ravens, but even in that case it’s slowly edging towards Grizzly Rage instead.
