New concept idea PLEASE READ

I am not going to be negative. I’m actually just going to throw out a simple new idea that would help alot with innovating which blizzard needs help with bad. Add a new difficulty tier that’s only for the permanent server, not season. This way after we finish the season stuff we can take our season character to the main server and try to push them to their limits. Adding a big replay value for minimal programming effort. Please blizzard it’s time to innovate again, I’m so frustrated. Please hire a game director that is an actual gaming nerd that has fresh ideas and new concepts to fix old problems.

Then you are probably a casual. Because replay value is the most important thing for a ARPG looter. Also compared to the things blizzard is doing, this is an innovative idea. I never said it was a “big” innovative Idea anyway, matter a fact I said it was a simple new idea that is innovative. How many helpful ideas have you had in your 17,434 posts? I betting 17,000 of them is just trash talk.

sorry, i just dont consider “adding a new torment tier” as innovative shrug

Adding a difficulty Torment V is a huge deal and it just cant come to eternal. This would frustrate players because players are weaker on eternal than season and eternal players got a massive power setback in S11.

What they need is new content that players can use in season or eternal to push character. Think of something like revamped AoZ that we had in S2.

Anyway, back to the OP, nobody plays eternal, so why would the dev’s bother in overloading the server with an extra dificulty level???

LOL, then you clearly miss the entire point. Its not a new torment tier, its a special tier you can do on the main server so that you have characters that are not rendered useless every season.. again clearly a casual gamer.

just that eternal hardly can be considered “the main server”. Diablo 4 clearly is a seasonal arpg.

Thats the whole point! it makes Eternal mean something. It makes it so you have characters that can keep going after the season is over.

IF we are pushing characters to the limit it has to be torment V. You cant push characters past season if its a lower difficulty like Torment 1 half.

When season is over?

Seasons are ALWAYS one after another, without any gap between them…

I’ve never played eternal, always played season….

About 90% of the player base plays seasons….

It would be a different difficulty tier just for characters to keep them meaningful after you finish every season.

As for your idea, it is at least an idea. That really can’t be said about D4 Devs.

These are my thoughts about your idea gud sir:

I want nothing more than to always hang out in the hardest content, except something ridiculous like the HC “Citadel” on hardcore diff. I won’t even play the Citadel on HC.

So I would just shift from whatever I was playing doing, over to this new HM (Hardmode).

I would then proceed to get bored extremely fast obviously.

And then find something else to do like usual.

I could go on about why but just think about it.

Keep em comin we need more ideas!

Urza, that’s fare, but you get the idea I’m throwing out there. At least you are not just saying it’s a stupid idea and not offering anything else.

A better solution is to balance the game. There is no need for 16 tormented levels like D3.

TY Morfyus! I have alot of ideas because I have been playing Blizzard games since I was a little kid playing Warcraft 1. I have LOTS of creative ideas, they need work I know, but I just want to help if I can and I finally decided to make posts to just throw them out there and try to get people thinking.

The characters need identity in of their own class. A different high performance / efficient method to each.

The game needs to have a highly engaging loop of gameplay, and end with the highest rewards for the most efficient gameplay against engaging mechanics.

Lazyloaf, I mean a special difficulty tier / game mode to take your favorite season characters to. One that is a permanent server so that after you finish every season you can move your favorite characters there to continue at your own pace at a final challenge level. Eternal is pointless and there is nothing to do with your season characters after the season ends right now, they are just trash currently. That feels really bad.
