While I am eagerly awaiting the crusader/Paladin which I’m sure is coming, I wanted to suggest a ronin class that uses 1 or 2h swords and a bow and features a parry system. The grandfather has always hinted at an Asian themed Empire existing in the world and I think this would be a very cool character to add to the game.
I want alien robots with booby lasers and chainsaws.
Both our suggestions are equally relevant

The asian empire in Sanctuary is a China fill in, NOT a Japan fill in. Ronin or Samurai classes would be totally out of place. There is no place for Waifu in Sanctuary.

This is completely out of place with the Gothic style of Diablo, even the Monk from Diablo III would feel strange in Diablo IV. I hope Blizzard won’t prove me wrong when they release the new expansion.

Exactly. And when we do think about future classes, lets stick to what fits thematically within the world of Sanctuary. These constant cartoony waifu poats are annoying.

this will always happen… it happens in fighting games too, everytime a new mortal kombat comes out you get a bunch of haters if their favorite character isn’t in the game. No matter how hard NRS (nether realm studios) try to create new characters to get away from the old ones people won’t stop crying till their characters return. Devs can never please everyone

If the 6th class have a decided angelic flavor. Maybe the 7th will have a demonic flavor to it? Unholy monk with fists of hellfire?
Demon Knight. Uses 2h and plate. Builds up Wrath. Upon capping out, transforms to demonform and the orb rapidly drains. Reverts to human when Wrath have run out. The longer you can maintain wrath, the longer you stay in form.
Not supporting OP’s idea, but many games just mash those 2 together, like League of Legends region named “Ionia”, with both Chinese and Japanese inspirations.

Aside from how stupid that is to do, it is even more stupid to do that to a region named Ionia, since that’s basically Greek. So a Spartan style warrior, or other Greek Hoplit style warrior is what that region should have.

not the weird amalgamation of a hunter/rogue that we have now.
How about a peasant class? Where you don’t have any skills and you run at demons with a pitchfork and get utterly slaughtered every time. When you respawn, you’re in Hell and have to attack invading, overpowered, beings who can kill the lords of Hell in less than 2 seconds. But you can take them on, right?
