New class speculation

Hey so I thought it would be fun to have a thread to talk about what classes/fantasy you’d like to see in D4.

Considering the stash tab icon and other hints please refrain from talking about paladin/crusader, they are basically guaranteed. But if you really really want to talk about pallie/crusader feel free.

Personally I’d like to see a character focused on horadric magic. Considering Neyrelle uses what appears to be unique spells there’s already a base for the character.

Beyond that I’d love to see a demonic character of some sort. Whether it’s summoning demons or being a half demon/half human I’d think it would be awesome to play and have awesome lore.

What do you guys want?

Next new class will be Paladin.

I think the good update for D2 was only 7 or so years after the game launched so like 21 years maybe?

Speculating about a new class for a game that just launched. They have a lot of other things to work on first.

I seriously hope they fix this mess before bringing in another class that will out power all the others and become the fast new meta and then turn out to suck like the rest right now.

I’m doing the current D3 season with monk on switch and it is awesome.

I press one button at the beginning of the rift and hold another button down the entire time. Easy modo keystones.

As a long time DnD player I would love to see a bard class that specializes in buffing themselves and near by players, dazing enemies with their music, and illusions that cause various effects.

While we are at it why not an artificer as well? They could build auto crossbow turrets, have wind up devices that pull agro before exploding, and various alchemical concoctions that can be thrown to cause AoEs.

As for old classes, bring back monks I always loved the monk class, even when it was absolutely aweful.

Artificer would be awesome though. That aspect of demon hunter is totally lacking from the current game.

I’d like to see the Monk and Witch Doctor come back for D4, I’d say Demon Hunters too but that’s pretty much a Rogue.

Devs stated they want to add “new” classes not old ones.

a D2 dev said back in day said the conceptualized 2nd xpac would of had a Cleric (said not traditional healing claric) so perhaps they go that route.
