Hi all again now I have been hearing people talking about the next new class with the next expansion will be a paladin…i thought they were staying away from past classes. So did i miss some real dev saying something or hinting at the new class?
Don’t believe everything you hear. Right now it’s a rumor made by a random content creator, nothing more.

no confirmed informations on anything regarding the next expansion.
Brent Gibson was asked about the Paladin by Rhykker in the roadmap interview and he had an interesting response.

yea, id still not go as far as to say there are secure informations that a paladin will be a thing.
That being said, its a fan favorite, so something of this archetype is eventually coming.

i just wanted to ask i remember last year or so before it was official the it was SB there was sooooo much talk about the palidan. I personally do not care what class it ends up being its more just excitement like yea a new class what will it be

The issue will be if it will be named Paladin, and what it would entail. As I can almost guarantee, whatever they come out with for the new class (Paladin or not) it won’t live up to the hype people have for it.

So true i mean when SB came out S6 yes SOOOO over powered but now its ok quill being the decent build but sad that it almost is the lower (dont know what S9 is bringing) then almost if not all the other classes
for the crying? As in just don’t take off the slicker and galoshes that i’ve been using to wade through all the ongoing crying about everything? “I hate D4. Blizzard made me play for 800 hours this season and every minute was torture!”

New class is going to be spartan class: javelin + shield. Think of the hunter class from Titan Quest minus bow and plus shield skills similar to smite. If the devs are smart, they’d also add 2H spear as the alternative way to play the class.

I think some one found a fun SB thorn build that was dominating in the PTR, no idea if it’ll cross over to live mind you. We’ll see.

I do not have any inside scoop but I think a Templar, if it has shield glare and auras I will be happy.

Problém Is that they thinking how be modern fór D4. Samé like runes or mersenary. How how bad IT Is . People want paladin ,holy many with auras from D2 And no something like ,devil shield master, or i dont know. Paladin So paladin .but they Will find out how destroy what players really want .

Imagine lightning fury like skill for the masses and impale with a 2h spear vs bosses.
I mean barb fights with 4 weapon slots and is still a summoner undertaker ghost whisperer wandering quake calamity. Why can’t the spartan class not walk around with 2 weapon slots: javelins and spears.

yea, for sure a lot more my vibe than some “holy class” lol.
But yea,… if i had to place a bet id say its pretty likely we will see some paladin archetype as well ^^

Have fun debugging the “auras”, probably more problems with that than with summon necro.
